To the PS3 version looks exactly the same as 360 version (believe me i know what i'm saying) you have to do some things:

- Put your PS3 to FULL RGB and Super White ON

- If you have HDMI, put your black level to LOW (yes LOW, not normal).

- In game, adjust the brightness.

You have to do this to PS3 version looks exactly the same as 360. In some frames, the reflections and water/rock shaders can even be more detailed than 360 version.

If you don't do this, you will have a washed out image with less color.

Trust me guy's, fallow my advice and you will be very happy with your ps3 version. ;)

I'm just saying...

Cheers

Full RGB is for PC monitors, not for TVs. Most TV sets only support limited RGB, so if you put it to full you'll crush black levels, which means you'll not see the Crytek logo in the brightness menu at all. Those who have PS3 demo can try it out.

Not this good no. Its almost in the PC master race territory.

The PC master race territory was compromised!!!!!

Actually the PS3 version is not 'washed out' its the 360 version which has a f**ked up gamma which makes the whole image darker and contrasty.

Its a well known fact that the gamma curve in Xbox 360 was a cheap last minute decision, they only use 4 point approximation this results in darker images with harsher black crush, the PS3 on the other hand has a correct gamma curve which results in correct images...however people think that the correct version is 'washed out' simply cause its brighter which is simply NOT true. In other games developers have to spend an a*s load of time to get the gamma correct on 360 and it still doesn't manages to get anywhere near as correct as the PS3/PC version...with Crysis 2 they haven't tried to correct it at all resulting in a greater disparity.

For example take a look at these images:

Crysis_2_PS3_Xbox_360_PC_2.jpg

Crysis_2_PS3_Xbox_360_PC_4.jpg

The Xbox 360 image may seem to be better in first look but that's totally not the case, the incorrect gamma causes a black crush which makes it impossible to see a lot of textures like the gun/hand textures....on the other hand the PS3 and PC version imply a correct solution. And this has been the case with EVERY game where people have complained the PS3 version looking washed out.
