If I give it to my friend, he installs the game, and then purchases the game from EA DM and enters the key. Will it work? Will he always require DVD in the tray? Joy Posted March 29, 2011 Report Share Posted March 29, 2011 Tried a bit of TDM mp on two maps , holy hell I was getting 792 ping on the server I was playing , my bullets were taking a lot of time to kill , compared to I was getting killed easily. Its very confusing , specially on keyboard , u need to keep switching between Cloak and Nano Vision , good use of energy is key. Will take some to get used to. Have to re-switch Nano Vision key from N to Q , as its utmost important in MP , and pressing N on keyboard quickly while playing is a impossible. Hardly used the Nano vision in SP , very rarely. In fact Nano vision is fkin useless in both SP and MP Hmm. , how will u spot the cloaked enemy players then ? , one of the maps I played was in the beta too , on top of a building , with gardens on both sides , many were just camping and sitting on top areas. Is there any specific way to join severs closer to India any region option etc. ? , 792 ping is gonna lag like hell , reminds how awesome console mp is , with no worry about pings and minimal lag. Joy Posted March 29, 2011 Report Share Posted March 29, 2011 , kaka tried your method didn't worked , after entering key I played a bit of SP came to a check point save too , still when I quit and tried MP , it asked for key again. Had added nash , Xeon and Stickerboy to freinds list , those were gone too , whatever XP I earned in two tdm matches was gone too. No use of playing mp till its fixed. That is useful in that dust filled level after the earthquake yes this should work, and the dvd won't be required after that. you'll have to buy the game on ea dm first though, since i imagine the dvd installer will ask for the cd key before starting installation. The DVD installer doesn't require CD Key while installing. The key is required for activation and playing the game. Now suppose I just take my installed folder to his PC, paste it their, and then he activates it using the key he purchased, will that work? Anyway, gave it a spin. Few thoughts on my very limited playtime. One benefit of conslolization is that the game runs EXTREMELY well. I am playing it on my 4 year old rig on the second highest setting at my native res (1400x900) and frame rate is always close to the 50 mark. And the game looks absolutely amazing. AI is a mixture of stupid (not reacting to a LOT of things), smart (they flank nicely and use nades smartly) and weird (one guy started shooting me as soon as I deCloaked, which doesnt sound that bad until you realize I deCloaked behind his back and he had no way of seeing me). Mouse controls feel solid. Dont know if it was fixed in the new patch or not but it finally feels right. Checkpoint system is REALLY erratic. Sometimes it will give you 2 of them back to back when nothing has happened and a couple of times it let me run through 2 long and tough firefights with zero checkpoints. THIS IS WHY YOU DONT REMOVE QUICKSAVE YOU f**king MORONS! I have no idea whats going on with the story. Its all over the place. Still its only the start, maybe it will come together later. All in all, till now its a solid game. Crytek didnt exactly bring their A game here but still they are one of the few developers whose B game is better than 90% of other shooters out there.
