dislike
I jus hope the PC version trumps the console versions graphically.....which it should....provided crytek don't become obsessed with making the 3 versions look similar to cover the market! I want them to do exactly that, and definitely the console versions are going to look similar to PC

Joy
Yuck those screens don't look that good at all , look at those leaves on trees , utter crap , even vegetation on Far Cry 1 looked better than that.

Aftrunner
Problem is there is only so much you can do with a Multiplatform game. Its not like they can add new wide open levels to the PC version. At best you get higher res textures, AA and AF, higher resolution and some extra effects for DX10 and 11. Its kinda hard to screw the pooch with that, after all its not like Crytek are noobs at PC development. So yeah the PC version will look much better but the game will be the same across all three platforms. And that is my bigger concern. But still unless I see it motion I wouldnt pass judgment on gameplay.
The JACKAL
surely the pc version will be better, but the console versions are going to be neat aswell. U morons exaggerate so much .Even with mass effect2, its good on any high end pc but its not that far from the 360 version unless ur playing at a very high resolution. Even that dosent make sense if yall are playing on your little 20 inch monitors. So yeah consoles ftw baby .
Mel81x
I am seriously impressed and its not even with the game itself but its with Sandbox3. That interface must be churning some mad math in the background to be able to work with three individual game-engines. That said, the game setting has me a bit disappointed. City fighting is always good and we've probably gotten a bit too used to the jungle at this point so something fresh was due at some point I guess. I was a bit disappointed with the first Crysis because the suit just charged up way to fast and I found myself playing it MGS style instead of being Rambo and going Gung-ho on everyone (which is silly in any case). I hope in this game they make the modifications much harder to rely on totally and actually immerse you in the gameplay more because that has always been my gripe with the series as whole, the suit making you invisible was great at first but it got silly later on. I'd also like them to start pressurizing you to play more in the open rather than duck behind objects. Anything out there on how many sprites one can expect to run into during fights? Warhead did a good job towards the end but it still didn't have what it should have had.

You're Sir are the biggest professional moron in the history of morons. , PC Games on 24 inch monitor at FULL HD at max settings with 16AA 16AF , Triple Buffering , V-Sync enabled is as good as a gaming experience as on a 40 inch HDTV. PC games are meant to able to play by default with keyboard and mouse , how can anyone play in front of it with a 40 inch screen , you just bash PC gaming just for stupid reasons like small monitor , poor ports and stuff. The reality is out of 100% PC games only 5% are bad console ports , rest are all technically superior to their console counterparts , the only bad thing about PC gaming regarding MP in India is we generally get bad pings to European and US servers which is much less in console MP games. I love my console but it will never get superior in front of my PC.
Aftrunner
^^+1 @ mel Really? You could pretty much Rambo your way through both the games on normal. Its only on Delta and above where you have to start making active use of your suit. Infact the difficulty was severely gimped on both games, compared to something like Far Cry (which was a brutal war of hit and run tactics) Crysis practically plays itself on normal. Regardless playing it Rambo is kinda counter intuitive to the whole Post Halo FPS era. Nowadays every game is about firing till your shields start bleeping/screen starts flashing red and then waiting it out behind cover to rinse and repeat. I dont really think many games break out of that mold. Not recently anyway. IMO thats a change for the best. Run and gun shooters are pretty much dead. Mel81x
what can I say i never played it on normal to begin with. when I first heard about Crysis everyone was just in awe about how good it was that I said I wanted to try it at a setting higher than normal to see how taxed my machine got and I was impressed at the time. I think that the whole run and gun thing is dead too but I still feel that they should make u work to progress more into the game because its become exceedingly easy to just say hey ill pop a few shots, find some cover and move on. P.S. +1 on Far Cry

Even I played it always at High or above , u have to play stealthy every often to survive , as Maximum Armor is useless , I never use it. If u want Rambo like experience on higher difficulties , I think u should tweak the config file to increase the abilities of the suit , it will make the game more fun and fast paced as well i.e less stealth which u want. Mel81x
lol I meant the same. In any event moving away from the game, I went back and saw the videos for Sandbox3 again and like how they are taking care of doing the interface development for different platforms. Even if the game doesn't do well (oh dear) I'd still say they did something good here.
Karooo
I liked Crysis a lot more after tweaking the ini file, unlimited cloak and increasing the strength made the game so much fun. I don't think, I'll enjoy the console version of Crysis 2 though, I bet PC only gamers are keeping a close eye on this game and Crytek knows that. They even said a lot of times it won't affect the PC version.

I'd like the out-of-the-box and add water experience. Never been a big fan of 'tweaking' my games. Gives you less to gripe about if the developers didn't do their job right ( and I just shot my own profession down there) but I saw the posts about armor tweaks. spindoctor
I bet PC only gamers are keeping a close eye on this game and Crytek knows that. They even said a lot of times it won't affect the PC version. cevat yerli doesn't give a sh*t about pc gamers. crysis, a game which would barely run properly on a tiny percentage of computers back in 2007 sold a million copies and he still whined about it's poor sales. nobody told him how rare it is for a pc game to sell a million copies apparently. that's when he shifted his focus on consoles and never looked back. i don't believe for a second that the consoles will not affect and hamper the pc version of crysis 2. i've always maintained that while crytek has some of the best technical people in the gaming industry, as game designers they are nowhere near the top tier and they are led by a very disingenuous person. now that they are seemingly giving up the one thing that makes them stand out, i wonder how they will fare when pitted up against the competition. devil_angel
I want them to do exactly that, and definitely the console versions are going to look similar to PC I hate to be rude! But..... I myself am speaking from a console gamer's perspective..... We have our own Halos and Uncharteds and killzones and Gears of wars! Why should the uber cool game that PC has had in the past be ruined because of the console versions? Look at those screens for crying out loud.....This isn't crysis! It's more like 'chaos' at crytek.....damn.....I jus hope the pc version comes at least close to crysis 1!

I get you,but all finally comes down to sales,Crytek isnt making Crysis2 to sell a mill or 2,they want sales and due to that they are not going to compromise the console versions of the game, especially the PS3 version which is safe from piracy!!
