Emo-Iwata Posted August 20, 2009 Report Share Posted August 20, 2009 The only reason I still have my Wii and of course this and Super Mario Galaxy 2 and the new Zelda. 360 doesn't provide half as much fun as Wii does when it comes to offline multiplayer truth that,nothing can compete with the wii when it comes to local multiplayer,right now i'm playing WSR and it's too good a package for this sort of gaming,loving table tennis and the sword games atm,all games are fun with the exception of cycling. and i have no doubt in my mind that NSMBWii is going to provide just as much frantic fun. Also this may be OT...but can anyone help me out here a bit...I have my Wii, dont use it much these days because of the obvious drought of games...but im fiddling with the idea of selling it...if anyone can fill me in on how long you think we'll get good games for the wii...and what are the new ones apart from mario, zelda, red steel, no more heroes? For recent 2009 stuff, check out: Punch-Out!!, MadWorld, Wii Sports Resort, Dawn of Discovery, Klonoa Wiimake, House of the Dead: Overkill, Excitebots: Trick Racing, Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars, Grand Slam Tennis (with MotionPlus) and Deadly Creatures. If you're able to download WiiWare games: NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits, Swords and Soldiers, Bonsai Barber, Bit.Trip Beat/Core, and Tales of Monkey Island are worth a look. Incoming titles for the rest of this year that look promising to me: Cursed Mountain, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Spyborgs, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up, Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga (lol), Rabbids Go Home, Red Steel 2, Dead Space Extraction, A Boy and His Blob, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, Sakura Wars: So Long My Love, and of course New Super Mario Bros. Emo-Iwata Posted August 21, 2009 Report Share Posted August 21, 2009 yup there definitely isn't a drought,it just depends on your preference. @ keeznah,don't forget tiger woods 10 too,it certainly is the best version if your into golf and i thought tench:shadow assasins was also pretty good. personally i feel the wii's library has more variety compared to the other two consoles but yea,if you're into shooters,you won't find much here,with the exception of the conduit which is pretty good and the metroid prime trilogy. Ah! Thanks for pointing that out And I highly disagree with you on The Conduit. Controls do really make the game accessible and engaging, but it's SP is incredibly droll and sub-standard shooter fare. That and having Kevin Sorbo watching my every move is pretty... well, eerie. At times. He means well, I just wish he would shut his flapping mouth. Multiplayer seems like the only incentive to keep playing, otherwise I'd stick to Metroid Prime Trilogy or wait for Red Steel 2. Wii Is As Hard As Contra At a demo in New York City this week, Nintendo was showing off some of the new levels from the game. The first they dropped me in was level 8-7 and very near the end of the game. And it showed. You remember those ghost house levels from "Super Mario World" where you had to stay on the moving platform and it slowly chugged past ghosts and other obstacles? Ok, imagine that, but turn the platform into a slavering bone dragon and speed it up by about 3 times. Oh, and throw on three other homicidal friends who would rather jump on your head than let you make a perfectly timed jump.
