^^ What I meant was as long as your content was 3D on a PC (and output by a suitable graphic card) the cable in question could be a DVI-D one. -_-

Although I disagree that you need HDMI for 3D viewing, if the content is native 3D (films and videos) then yes, else for gaming you can stream it via DVI-D as well. Quality will depend overall on three factors (in gaming)

  • the graphic cards capability to push the visuals
  • the 3D solution you are using, anaglyph or active 3D vision kits
  • the refresh-rate of the monitor (higher this is, better it is)

Where does it mention HDMI or HDMI version 1.4?

i always meant to upgrade it to HDMI 1.4,

it has no sense that having a branded cable 2k. cud give u wat ur hardware wont support , i.e TV+RIG+AMP(if u have one) all have to be on 1.4

bhai log

i hope this chart will help to understand the differences between these compliances

Amp/TV/graphics cards have to be on HDMI 1.4 which in real sense can produce 2 videos at same time on res Dual stream video (correct phrase) @ 1920/1080, getting 3D its really necassary particular content has to be transmitted in 2 different angle videos at a same time, thats how we get 3D depth details.

else u will ended up like facing blurred and truoble during play. :(

^^ Agreed on the point Sameunn Sire.

These cables are a bit on the expensive side though. Chinese ones go for ~400/- -->700/- (depending on quality, length and standard).

Proper branded cables from Logitech / Belkin cost ~700/- and upwards depending on length, standard.

^^ I never stated that a branded cable provided improved performance of the set-up.

I just said that depending on the standard (HDMI-HDMI, HDMI-mini HDMI) and the length of the cable various offerings are available, the non-branded ones available for ~400/- -->700/- and branded ones from then on.

i think u missed my point, or i did miss urs,

anyways, thanks :cheers:

No one missed nothing, we are saying the same thing with different words. Also, you shared the link to explain how the cable does not affect the output on a TV, you need a proper AMP for that. Which I did not know.

You are welcome. :cheers:

Sagar, an updated configuration,

Intel Core i7 4770 ~20000/-

ASUS H87-PRO ~9500/-

G.Skill RIPJAWS 8GB x2 1600MHz ~7500/- -->8000/-

GIGABYTE / ASUS HD7970 3GB ~30000/- --> 34000/-

Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB ~4000/-

SAMSUNG Pro 128GB / 256GB SSD ~15000/- (from here)

Seasonic M12II-650W ~6500/-

Corsair Carbide 400R ~5000/-

Essentially just added an SSD for faster operation and improved load times for all file based operations. If you feel 128GB is fine for you, go for that. Also, you can add a couple of fans to the build if you want to improve the air-flow inside.

These are ones I would recommend, 1 -->3 tops would be more than enough.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

Alpha,

Which mobo would you recommend for i5-4570 ? I am not looking to overclock or go SLi / CF. Either i will buy this combo or FX8320/FX8350 + Asus M5A97 / Gigabyte 970a-UD3. Advantage of buying the intel chipset now is that i can delay buying a video card for 3-4 months till AMD comes out with the 8xxx series and then take a call. But i dont want the i5 proc + mobo combo to be more than 2-3k expensive than the AMD one.
