ALPHA17
also goes which online computer store is really reliable? theitwares or theitdepot? Try to source stuff from MD Computers itself. If not possible from them check up The IT Wares and Prime ABGB on eBay.in. Both are Bombay based distributor / retailer chains for various PC component companies. The IT Depot is Madras based so might take time in shipping to you. flipkart only as a last ditch option, too expensive on certain counts, only consolation, free shipping. ALPHA17
Guys, how is g.skill sniper compare to g.skill ripjaws?? Ripjaws have tighter timings which means lower latency. Go for it. Latency has little value to it any more, save for the ultimate benchmark hunter / over-clocking fanatic. If the G.Skill Sniper kit is cheaper, go for it. PS you don't have local stores? They're cheaper than online stores most of the time He has MD Computers in Calcutta. Edited July 10, 2013 by ALPHA17
playstation
Had little doubt on that part, thanks for correcting it. Ripjaws have tighter timings which means lower latency. Go for it. Both are good. Also: Flipkart/mdcomputers/deltapage.. I am checking snapdeal right now...good offer...ordered corsair 4gb from there...thanks joe cool for the info. flipakrt and all are too expensive...they raised the price Rs 700 in 2 days...coz i was about to order but i thought ki phela bakhi sab leta hai phir ram order akrega if i dont get good deal from instore here...sala log Rs 700 bada diya.. Try to source stuff from MD Computers itself. If not possible from them check up The IT Wares and Prime ABGB on eBay.in. The IT Depot is Madras based so might take time in shipping to you. flipkart only as a last ditch option, too expensive on certain counts, only consolation, free shipping. thanks...i tried to order from itwares...it came up as no payment option available contact us...i did not care after that. PS you don't have local stores? They're cheaper than online stores most of the time Yes i have md computers...lika alpha mentioned. Latency has little value to it any more, save for the ultimate benchmark hunter / over-clocking fanatic. If the G.Skill Sniper kit is cheaper, go for it. He has MD Computers in Calcutta. Alpha ...they charging quite a lot...after buying so many stuff yesterday ...they were acting bit smart imo...giving me no proper quote on ram..saying apka Rs 2600 plus lag jayega and all and then asked to call and ask the distributor exact kitna hai ...they said Rs 2450 something plus tax and all....so did not care to buy from them. Okay, good you did your homework on that end then. Just share with me which RAM you are getting from snapdeal. guys how to i check which ram is compatible with my mobo? Suggest something for my DH55PJ motherboard. 4x2 gb sticks. Thanks . Find the RAM's name on the vendors site, go to the product page and see what all chipsets / motherboards it is compatible with, e.g., Here is your motherboards' product page on Intel ark, it also states that the board is now EoL -- Intel DH55PJ Technical documentation In here, to check your compatible RAM modules, go to the following, Compatibility >System memory Do some homework here and you can zero down on whichever RAM kits are compatible with your motherboard as well as are still in market circulation. To zero down the same on Corsair products, go to FAQ's and Support section for the product you have short-listed. Also try this application they have provided. Hope this helps, Cheerio!

ALPHA17
^^ Check RAM compatibility from this QVL provided by ASUS. ASUS and Corsair have not updated their listings but the memory module should be compatible with the system, no worries. Hope this helps, Cheerio! That is what I am basing my assessment off. There is mention of CMP4GX3M2A1600C9 memory which is a 2 x2GB kit(dual-channel) rated at 1600MHz with a CAS Latency 9, while the module you are purchasing is CMZ4GX3M1A11600C9, 1 x4GB rated at 1600Mz with a CAS Latency 9. So ideally it should run without a hitch. Hope this helps, Cheerio! Edited July 10, 2013 by ALPHA17

I am using CPUID monitor for temperature. This is completely standard. Please reconfirm the temperatures, use other applications like Real Temp, CoreTemp. other thing on asus bios screen my vengeance shows as 4gb @ 1333 mghz..but it should be able to run at higher than that right?? You have a 1333MHz module or a 1600MHz module? also the ram is very close to cpufan and cpu...i tried to move it further from it on the second or third slot...but then pc wont start...does that mean i cannot change the slot?? Maybe because you have only one module of RAM that is why, if you get two modules you can try to switch them to different dual-channel slots. Kthxbye BTW when it comes to PC building, this is a fun tool to play around with - http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/ Gives you a whole load of options to select from, sorting based on reviews and features for each part, a list of prices (sometimes a bit dated but usually the same you'll find on the website it points you to) and promos for any part you select from a number of major stores (atleast in the US), suggested power ratings (though those can be off by a bit) etc. You can save your build and track price changes and promos daily or weekly too. The more I play with the closer I get to chucking my 5 year old laptop out and building a proper gaming machine. Only reason I'm holding off is for whatever AMD (Radeon) has in store for October-November and any Black Friday deals that may come my way around that time.
