cyclops
Yes the STORM Trooper is a Full-tower. Proud owner of a Storm Trooper here...yes it is a full tower case and a kick a*s one at that...and packed with any feature you can ask for. Pure win !!! And its very heavy...takes a lot of effort to move around my fully loaded cabinet from my desk to my work area where I usually work on the upgrades...I actually put it on a trolley kind of thing i have and then move it around. SD_2007
AMD FX 8350 or INTEL CORE i5 4430 Which one is better for gaming as stock condition (no OCing).
playstation
AMD FX 8350 or INTEL CORE i5 4430 Which one is better for gaming as stock condition (no OCing). Actually amd fx8350 is more powerful than i5 4430 ..its a tough decision tbh...best is you try to conclusions yourself.
AK77
Actually amd fx8350 is more powerful than i5 4430 ..its a tough decision tbh...best is you try to conclusions yourself. Not really. It is better in some multi-threaded tasks. But when you compare it in single threaded tasks/ combination of these two or gaming division it falls flat. As most games are at best a mixture of single and lightly multithreaded workloads, AMD's FX platform doesn't do well here at all. If you're looking to build a high end gaming machine and want the best CPU for the job, Vishera isn't it. http://www.anandtech.com/show/6396/the-vishera-review-amd-fx8350-fx8320-fx6300-and-fx4300-tested/5 The flagship FX-8350 really does look very interesting. It is significantly faster than the previous generation AMD processors and can successfully compete against top LGA 1155 Ivy Bridge CPUs in case of multi-threaded load. Keeping in mind its affordable price, FX-8350 can be recommended for inexpensive desktops dealing primarily with such resource-demanding tasks as HD content creation and processing or final rendering. However, it is also important to keep in mind some of its drawbacks before you decide on this product. This processor is enormously power-hungry, and on top of that it is not universal as it doesn’t work fast in every-day general purpose tasks, which are mostly unable to split the load into eight parallel threads. I would also like to point out that 3D games are also among the problematic tasks for AMD processors. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/fx-8350-8320-6300-4300_10.html#sect0 And the less we talk about AMD's CPU power consumption the bettter it is. Go with i5 4th gen. Edited August 2, 2013 by AK77

AMD FX 8350 or INTEL CORE i5 4430 Which one is better for gaming as stock condition (no OCing). Intel Core i5 4430 for now is the better choice, if you are only looking to game. varundbest
Poor choice in my opinion. Why? Any downsides? I am more worried about micro ATX, actually i asked for z87 and he gave z87m and i didnt see much.... Any loss in that???

Any loss in that??? Following, µATX form factor, therefore layout compromises ASRock is not known for their 'sturdy' build-quality For the same price a more competent H87 motherboard could have been bought No heat-sinks around CPU area, more importantly very poor power phase design
varundbest
So what should I do now??
ALPHA17
So what should I do now?? I doubt, unless the shop-owner decides to exchange it with a H87 motherboard from ASUS or GIGABYTE.
varundbest
I cant do dat... Well something extra aint no prob i guess plus its for OC then there should be less heating issue... Heaven Angel
I don't get it. After all weeks of asking and recommendations, you picked up wrong stuff and on your own? Why ask at first place? =\

Solitaire
Alright, so after looking into all your suggestions.... folks here's the final (well GPU change in a couple months but for now final) build.... I changed the speaker locations afterwards but apart from that, no change really. Fans on the lower half (side and front fans) are pulling in air, ones on the top and the back are pushing out air (the Noctua pushes air out towards the back). SSD is mounted in the bottom 2.5" cage.
