CdrShawnzer
Does the r9 290x need a full tower(you know, for airflow)?
rock2702
Does the r9 290x need a full tower(you know, for airflow)? R9 290X is a blower design card which exhauts hot air outside the case.A mid tower case is more than sufficient if you are not going to crossfire. ALPHA17
Does the r9 290x need a full tower(you know, for airflow)? As long as your cabinet is well ventilated no need of a Full-tower cabinet. Sent from my ST27i using Tapatalk
ALPHA17
As long as your cabinet is well ventilated no need of a Full-tower cabinet. Even for a CrossFire-X setup. But this is only true for the stock cooler and shroud. Open cooler designs will need a better airflow set-up in your cabinet. ALPHA17
Asus maximus VI Hero vs Formula Is the "Armor" of the Formula removable? Is the Formula better for OC'ing? If I recall correctly it can be removed but not advised. It acts like a dust shield first and a thermal solution later. Also, if this is your first PC what are you trying to do, waste money? Learn how to over-clock before spending a ton of money towards it. Also, I did not want to do this but, There is a LIKE button here, hope you know how to use it.

Ethan Hunt
So the 280x is 25k vs the 22k for the 760. decisions...decisons. If you can spend the extra 3k - 280x without doubt. I am sure 760 will see a price drop soon.
ALPHA17
Snake, as I said earlier, if you can accommodate the R9-280X into your budget, that would be the best you can get under ~35000/-. It comes close to touching the GTX770 in performance, is a full 7,000/- quid cheaper and more V-RAM than the stock version. The cooler slapped on by MSi might not be the most stunning one but it does its job well. Only con is that you will need to improve the cooling inside your cabinet as all the hot air is being dumped inside your system. Apart from that I seriously see nothing coming close to this beast (on stock). And you can try over-clocking if you feel like wetting your feet there. AMD HD7970 a.k.a. R9-280X vs. GTX760 AMD R9-280X vs. GTX770 I am sure 760 will see a price drop soon. This will loose favour faster than that happening. GTX660Ti still retails at asinine prices, even after the GTX760 outperforms it by a clean margin. ALPHA17
Can a Seasonic M12II-750 handle 2 Sapphire 280x Toxic in CF? Get a M12II 850W, minimum for this case. A proper 1000W SMPS will be a better and safer bet. Sent from my ST27i using Tapatalk
