ALPHA17
Do you think you will be able to play games without straining yourself so close to such a large display.
ColorCodePurple
Do you think you will be able to play games without straining yourself so close to such a large display. I didn't think of that at all. Though to be fair I tend to prefer controller over KB/m and for most games I would probably distance myself from the TV just as much as people do for console gaming. But your point still stands. I think I'll go with the smaller TV for start and then buy a monitor later on. EDIT: Slight correction. Its 26 inch, not 30 Edited March 12, 2014 by ColorCodePurple
ALPHA17
So when do you plan to purchase? Also, from where? Edited March 12, 2014 by ALPHA17
ColorCodePurple
Depends on my exam results. If its good as soon as April, if its bad then ill shift the buying to after my next exam which would be June. Where is the problem, I live in Pune. I guess ill have to go with Flipkart only. ColorCodePurple
Okay. Let me know, how things unfold, I think I know a couple of shops in Pune. Could you pm me the address/ Name of these shops? I would love to do some research in my free time. Also I am apprehensive of assembling the thing, its seems pretty complex. I'd prefer to get it done

ALPHA17
Get the R9-290, inquire locally in Nehru Place for availability, or purchase the Sapphire Tri-X edition from flipkart. Unless you think the GTX780Ti is worth the obscene price tag of ~50000/- plus (for standard edition) and more than ~60000/- for a custom card. MSi Twin Frozr based cards are available starting ~35000/- (for R9-290). my bad its avail for pre-order on md computers zotac 780 TI and msi 780 ti is out of stock in fk must be avail in nehru place my friend is the distributor of nvidia and amd so will ask him Edited March 14, 2014 by harjas
ALPHA17
^ Ask him but don't expect good pricing on the GTX780Ti. Online retailers are selling the base version for ~55000/- (and higher), custom version are coming in at about ~60000/- (and above). Which is just wholesale looting in my opinion. xvinnix
Alpha, I locked my Laptop and can't remember the password now ( Never happened before ) good thing is that there was no Bios lock. I have Symantec End Point Corporate on this system which also kills my freedom with both hands, So I am planning to wipe the system and reinstall Win 7 and just use it for personal stuff and no office stuff at all. Is Nehru Place a good way to go...Also how much they will charge for wiping the locked lappy. ( I don't need to save any data on it ) A bit urgent too. ALPHA17
Just get a copy of Windows and format the laptop yourself, where does money come into this?
xvinnix
Just get a copy of Windows and format the laptop yourself, where does money come into this? Well.... Let's just say that Symantec Endpoint is a bitch and I was also thinking of swapping the HDD to a bigger size It can be done rite? Also I am really busy with year end reports that I'll rather pay someone to do it. Seriously brother it is very hectic time of the year. And apologies everyone as I did not realized that I am posting in Gaming PC instead of Ask the experts thread. Thanks Edited March 14, 2014 by xvinnix

And what model laptop do you have? The 2.5" hard-drives are more expensive compared to their 3.5" counter-parts. You will find help in Nehru Place but dependent on where you give it the price might be between ~750/- -->2500/-. Hope this helps, Cheerio!
