Superfrag
I was just going to post a rig, realised I crossed the budget without the monitor.. Â Afty's config seems solid. Â Anyways, my choice would be AMD, cause its a quad core while with Intel you can only get a dual core. Both are good enough for gaming, but why go for a dual core when you can get a quad, especially if games come out that utilize the extra cores. Phoenix Wright
For 45k: Â i5 750 - 10k Intel H55TC - 5k or so 4GB DDR3 Dual-channel RAM - 6.5k GTX 260 Core 216 (or w/e it's called) - 12k (I think) Corsair VX550W - 3.8k 1TB HDD - 4k Random DVD Drive - 1k Cooler Master Elite 310 - 1.5k or so. ricky87
I was just going to post a rig, realised I crossed the budget without the monitor..  Afty's config seems solid.   You can post it still with prices if possible, I will cut and paste where ever required  And please suggest a nice HD supported Nvidia graphics card and TFT/LCD monitor too if possible Edited March 27, 2010 by T90-India
Superfrag
AMD Phenom X4 965(BE,Deneb) - 9350 Biostar TA790GX-A3+ - 6600 Gskill 4GB(2*2) DDR3 1600Mhz/1333Mhz(any of them will do) - should cost around 8000.. not sure about this. Â Now about the graphic cards, I'd suggest an AMD card cause they consume less power, and give out less heat. Â HD5870 - 24000. Â If you still want Nvidia, go for the GTX 470 , should be around 25k when it releases. Â HDD - Seagate 500Gb, 7200.12 - 2500 DVD Drive - any should be around 1.5k SMPS - Corsair HX620W - 7500(especially if you go for the Nvidia card.) Incase you go for the ATI card, the Corsair TX650W is good enough, should be around 6500. Cabinet - Coolermaster 690 - 4500 Â I think I crossed your budget.... lol. Â Well you can cut in the cabinet, but then I highly recommend to go for the ATI card, so that you have less chances for heating issues. Also, with the ATI card you can go for a 550W/600W SMPS. Aftrunner
For 45k:Â i5 750 - 10k Intel H55TC - 5k or so 4GB DDR3 Dual-channel RAM - 6.5k GTX 260 Core 216 (or w/e it's called) - 12k (I think) Corsair VX550W - 3.8k 1TB HDD - 4k Random DVD Drive - 1k Cooler Master Elite 310 - 1.5k or so. Â ^^ This is pretty much what I had in mind. Except swap the GPU for a 5850 if it retails for 15k. You can save some cash by getting 2GB RAM. You can always shove more RAM in later. Â Also get the 1TB HDD. The price difference between the 500 GB and the 1TB isnt more than 1k and trust me its better to have free space and not need it than to need it and not have it. Phoenix Wright
PW is reading this thread. I liked ur config dude. Can u list it again and the prices? Â My config was: Â i7 860 - 14k Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 - 8k Corsair XMS 3 (2x2GB DDR3) - 6.5k 5850 - 15k Corsair VX550W - 5k Cooler Master Gladiator 600 - 4k Seagate 1TB - 4k LG DVD Drive - 1k MS KB + Mouse - 600 bucks or something. Â I think I missed a few hundred here or there, paid 59k for the whole thing.
Superfrag
5850 is around 18-19k AFAIK. I doubt prices might drop. The i5 config will work very well too.. Â IMO, PW's config is the best... try to stretch your budget, it will be worth it. Edited March 27, 2010 by Superfrag

But people are saying it retails for 15k in the other Nvidia Fermi thread. I have no idea about its current price though. Â Where did you get yours Phoenix? Import? Phoenix Wright
@Afty: Nah, local. And this is Kolkata, so other places might even have the Sapphires or XFXs for 15k. Â You sure the Elite 310 is adequate to cool that set up? Looks pretty rock solid otherwise. Drop in a 5770 instead of the GTX260 for some DX11 (tho' imho overrated) goodness. Â I'm running my 600 on two fans and even my setup is nice and cool. The 310 has space for another fan, so an additional 120mm fan for 500 bucks or so should cool that setup pretty well. Â And I only added the GTX 260 in because T90's stuck on Nvidia. Otherwise, I'd put the 5770 in too. Phoenix Wright
Hehe. Though if he's better green than red it would be advisable to get a cheapo card for a bit till Fermi's mainstream parts are out imo. Also why original Intel mobos? Why not Asus/Gigabyte (better/existent overclocking options, better features etc). Â Because I'm not sure of the price. One of Gigabyte's H55 boards is going for 7k or so, at which point it just makes more sense to go for a P55 setup rather than an H55 one. DevilsOwn
Planning to upgrade my PC next month. Idea is to try and future proof it for quite some time ahead.  here is what i have currently and have a budget of 30 k in mind (hopefully i can trade in some of the exisiting stuff and get about 5-7k more)  also want to surely get windows 7 included in the 30k  Core2 Quad 9550 @2.83 ghz DDR2 2gb * 2  GeForce 9800 GT (1 Gig memory)  PSU@ 550  A standard cabinted  what do you guys suggest? Phoenix Wright
Well, I'd swap out the GTX260, get a 5770. Use that extra dough for the Gigabyte GA-P55-US3L going at around Rs. 6750 here.   i5 750 - 10k Gigabyte GA-P55-US3L - 7k 4GB DDR3 Dual-channel RAM - 6.5k ATi HD5770 - 10k Corsair VX450W - 3.8k 1TB HDD - 4k Random DVD Drive - 1k Cooler Master Gladiator 600 (just to be sure) - 4k  Total - 46k. Perfect.

Perfect.  Fixed. But I am thinking on HD 5750, read somewhere, 90 % of 5770 performance and is also cheaper. Plus maybe a little better PSU like COrsair 600 W?? Superfrag
I just wanted to ask, Why not go for the AMD x4 with a good mobo, and the same ram. The cost will remain the same, but you get a slightly slower proccy, but two extra cores.
