playstation
Motherboard & PSU MBO and PSU should be of good brand definitely but they if you are on a budget gaming pc you can compromise there but not on CPU and GPU and ram.
ALPHA17
Motherboard & PSU Th SMPS is probably the weakest offering.

Ethan Hunt
With no local warranty - doesnt make sense at the moment. Will only start making sense once they start providing local warranty or source locally.

drakester20
Hi guys.I'm new here.I was looking for a budget gaming laptop and a friend suggested this place. my budget is around 50k.I'm looking for machine that would last me a few years with a decent gaming experience.s for the gpu,i think either 650m or 740m would be good in my budget,Here are two i have in mind : http://www.flipkart.com/lenovo-ideapad-z510-59-405838-notebook-4th-gen-ci5-6gb-1tb-8gb-ssd-win8-1-2gb-graph/p/itmdus3sqzqusfdt http://www.snapdeal.com/product/samsung-np550p5cs06in-laptop-intel-core/1411888 I would like to ask if there any other options i sould consider.Any help is much appreciated. ALPHA17
I would like to ask if there any other options i sould consider.Any help is much appreciated. Welcome to the forums Drake, any particular reason to go for a laptop instead of a desktop / console? Also, in my opinion, it would be wiser if you got a Core i7 (3rd / 4th Generation) over a Core i5 based laptop. You have correctly made the assessment of the GT740M being the best bet in your budget. Try to get that or the GT755M but please be wary that due to constraints the laptop might not prove adequate after a year or two for gaming. Hope this helps, Cheerio! ALPHA17
What cases are you guys running? Got my eyes on the Corsair Air 540. Any good? For a compact cabinet, good pick. What exactly are you looking for, out of the following parameters, Dimensions Space Layout Ergonomics Aesthetics Budget Arrange in whatever order you want. ALPHA17
Air cooling is important above all else. Budget is 10K max. Size wise I'm happy with a midtower as well. In that case, I would suggest you the following, in no particular order (apart from price), Cooler Master N200 Advanced (for the dual USB 3.0 ports up front and a windowed side panel), it is a traditional mini-tower but well appointed and quiet cavernous for its size Corsair Carbide 400R, lower mid-range king Cooler Master N600, looks staid but packs in a few surprises NZXT Source 530, clean looking mid-range contender from NZXT NZXT H440, another clean design from the house of NZXT but you got to sacrifice that optical drive Corsair Graphite 600T, Corsair's first attempt at a mid tower, a little long in the tooth but still an effective enclosure with plenty of space Bit Fenix Prodigy M, the only contender to the Corsair Air, sourcing might be a problem Hope this helps, Cheerio! ALPHA17
Thanks my man! Didn't know CM had such decent looking cases. Yes, these new N series cabinets are some of my favourites in the look department. Staid yet understated elegance to the entire line. Soft interior lighting / LED fans just accentuate it to another level. But I'm hearing that the cooling is so-so and cable management isn't the greatest. #smallcabinetproblems The cooling would be adequate as long as you do not over-clock, cable management would be a complete pain unless you go down the modular SMPS route. The Source 530 looks lovely too. NZXT have mastered the art of designing a wide array of cabinets arrayed from black boxes to garish experiments. Do check their complete catalogs once. Wasn't too keen on the Corsair Carbide Air 540 due to the lack of filters (only one on the top). I do not think any of my mentioned cabinets have special dust filtering capability. Sadly most are not designed keeping Indian air standards in mind. And those that do come with heavy filtering / padding fall short in the cooling department. piper
Milo, go for the Source 530. I've had my eye on it for months... but I don't really need a case upgrade atm.
Ethan Hunt
I have the NZXT Phantom 530 - which is basically the same chassis as Source 530 with extra rubber grommets / better build / better looks. Its a solid case for the price (Source 530) - enough room to fit in a truck. Go for it !
ALPHA17
^ I dislike the plastic cladding that the Phantoms get, that too piano finish.

ALPHA17
^ It is not about whether they look or feel cheap, it is not my kind of material is my take on them. They Attract dust and any scratches, scuffs will be easily highlighted.
drakester20
Alpha,what would you say regarding this laptop : http://www.flipkart.com/hp-pavilion-15-p045tx-notebook-4th-gen-ci7-8gb-1tb-win8-1-2gb-graph-j2c71pa/p/itmdwz2gbwztnsvc?pid=COMDWZ2GHCPAPRWH&srno=b_7&ref=1cffedf0-d039-4c17-a67f-c44e23a49575 It's a 4th gen i7 with an 840m.
