isnt it about time we have another gaming pc under said budget component lists?

Do not follow what you mean here.

Are you saying we should have a budget build viable now or what?

  • 2 weeks later...

Fans in my system are acting up recently, and make a lot of noise when I turn it on. So, I am looking for a new pair of fans for my rig. I have seen a Kingston HyperX Fan during my search, and I am very excited to buy one as HyperX is a range of gaming products, but where can I buy it, as it not available in most of the stores?

Guys a good gaming laptop somewhere around 60k

Would prefer one which accidental damage protection

Check the following laptops @flipkart. They are currently out of stock but try to locate the same laptops on other online sites / locally.

Dell and chk for latest gpu

DELL is no longer at the top of its game. Lenovo and HP both offer competitive hardware at the same price-point.

Both co. Gave probs now n then .cannot suggs them

Every company will have its share of negative feedback and I cannot deny that but for the price and the users budget DELL does not even provide the best hardware. So that is the motive behind suggesting the other options.

Do you need a gaming laptop because you travel alot? Do you live in a hostel?

Because you can get a much better VFM PC if you assemble it.Gaming laptops have heating issues and weak hardware compared to desktop hardware.

Hi Guys.... I was originally planning to buy a PS4 but instead I am going to buy a PC which can play Witcher 3 @ 30FPS on ULTRA @ 1080P resolution( To Import my saves from Witcher 2 ). My budget is about 55000 Rs and I am looking at a config of :

Graphics Card : Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 or AMD R9 270X(Confused as to which brand or edition is best)

Proccessor : Intel Pentium I3 3.4 Ghz 4130 4th Generation Haswell

Mobo : Asus Z87 Pro(So that I can upgrade graphics and CPU later this year)

PSU : 650W Corsair

RAM : Corsair Vegance 2 * 4GB 1600

Is this a good config? Any suggestions from my Pro friends is welcome. When I approached the leading shop here in Kerala the shop salesman suggested the GT 740 for good gaming performance and was adament that Quadro is the best for gaming. So yeah that is the condition here.

For your budget, no, this is a pretty unbalanced set-up.

Are you adamant on purchasing locally or are open to online retail options?

I would suggest the following components,

Intel Core i5 4690

GIGABYTE B85M-D3H

Corsair 4GB x2 1600MHz RAM (Vengeance / XMS3 is your choice)

Seasonic M12II520W / 620W

Cooler Master N300

(save money for getting a graphic card around March / April, I would suggest nothing short of an AMD R9-280X)

Hope this helps, Cheers!

That guy is trying to dupe you hard, do not fall for it.

First of all Thank You for the response Mate. I still have a few questions:

1.So even with the Gigabyte B85M-D3H motherboard I can ensure upgradeability( yes I can get an i7 but only by october)? and yeah i wont risk overcloaking as it gets pretty hot here(34 - 37 degree) and I dont know much about SLI/Crossfire(I am planning to try in the future).

2.So shall I cut down on the motherboard and purchase R9 280X?

3.Buying an i3( for now) with a R9 280X now will bottleneck the graphics card?

4.Thanks to you I will change the PSU to Seasonic for sure.

I am planning to purchase locally because they are offering good private finance options. I can pay off monthly in an year at low interest and the shop guy was not trying to rip me off but they genuinely have no Idea about gaming pc's here in Kerala. He told me today that he will source the parts I require from the authorised dealer.

If you are not over-clocking, then yes the B85M-D3H is a decent board for Intel's line-up. If you want to maintain upgradability, it is suggested you go for an H97 / Z97 chipset, such as the following @flipkart (try to get them locally).

About CrossFire and SLi, I would suggest neither, single GPU solutions will perform more consistently and consume less power. Getting a single good card, right now and playing with it till whenever you want to upgrade is what I would suggest.

Also, to implement a dual-GPU solution would require you to invest in a better cabinet and a beefier SMPS from the get-go.

2.So shall I cut down on the motherboard and purchase R9 280X?

That is your call, I would not suggest going below the GIGABYTE board I gave you first, any board on the H97 / Z97 chipset above it would be gold.

About the card, do not purchase immediately, wait till March and if by then there has not been any shuffle up in the line-up go for at-least the R9-280X / GTX970 or better (you can come back then).

3.Buying an i3( for now) with a R9 280X now will bottleneck the graphics card?

No bottleneck but why waste money on getting an i3 now, only to swap it around November for a Core i7.

Much more pragmatic and sound to just get a Core i5 and go with it till the next upgrade.

Whatever suits you mate. Cheers!

Thanks to your advice I am going to stick with a H97 chipset so that I can upgrade my i3 to a broadwell based cpu( I just cant afford an i5 now and I need to play the witcher 3 at launch (abt 7000 is the price difference))

Thanks for the heads up.

Is the cooler master elite 311 bad? that seems to be the only gaming cabinet available here.

Okay man, whatever suits your needs.

Although, considering you are not getting a card right now. Why not go for a Core i5?

I am the Cooler Master CSR and PR for India and my sincere advice would be to stay away from that in-case you want to pack any serious firepower inside.
