Usage?

Priority usage is gaming

i5 10400F 6 core 12 thread - 12650

Gigabyte B460M motherboard - 9300

16GB 3200 DDR4 teamforce RAM - 7000

500GB crucial m.2 ssd - 4800

2TB toshiba HDD - 4650

Corsair CX650 power supply - 5250

Ant esports cabinet - 4250

Zotac 1660 Super - 21500

Total - 69400

If under strict budget, then you can go for a H410 motherboard, a cheaper PSU and cabinet..

Right now intel has the better offerings at 12k price point.. you can get the 6 core 12 thread 10400f instead of the quad core ryzen

But doesn't B460M lack support for XMP and caps RAM at 2933 Mhz? Processor wise, 10400f might be better today, but if you do want to upgrade in the future you pretty much have to change the board and CPU.

Also, the A2000 is a better SSD that Crucial M2. Also why get a Bronze rated PSU for a comparable price as a gold rated one?

Yes correct.. Intel is shitty in that way locking even memory overclocking on non-z series boards..

But from a gaming perspective, at a fixed budget, the additional 2C/4T would definitely prove to be better than the additional 200MHz bump in RAM speed.

Also upgrade wise if you see the ryzen 5000 series is probably the last chips on the AM4 platform so future upgrades will anyways need a board n CPU change. And 10th gen i5 is not that far behind the 5000 series in gaming performance.

I get where you are coming from. But I honestly think it makes sense to go for a Ryzen. Simple reason being that if you want to upgrade to a newer processor 2-3 years down the line, you can get a Ryzen 5xxx series for a cheap price since they'd still be relevant. Whereas with a B460, you'd not be able to make full use of an i5 leave alone an i7.

By that point, I am also assuming Gen 4 SSDs and PCI-e 4 would become the norm. Not to mention higher speed memories. Going for a B450M right now means that you'll essentially have to  upgrade your entire rig.

But right now, I think building a PC has come down to getting what's available rather than what you want with all the price gorging and scalping.

I am thinking upgrading my ancient cpu i5 3470 to i5 10400f with h410 mobo ,which will be paired with my existing rig  n gtx 1060 6gb, Total online cost comes around 13k+6k+6k=24k. I am mostly playing RDR2 and Marvels Avengers at this point.  For Mobo, I will really like to have intel wifi/bluetooth as due to some unreal reason my 8bitdo snenspro controller does not detected with tplink and another bluetooth dongle.

On AMD side, I can select a B550 mobo with paired with amd 3500 or 3500x

I am not following much tech recently, any suggestion regarding the mobo will be nice.

Can the RAM on an i5 10400 + Asus B560 Prime Plus combination be overclocked? like I mean with XMP, suppose i have 2x 3200mhz ram sticks, they can be got to run at that speed through XMP right? or does Intel still limit even the new B560 motherboards to run at 266mhz max if there isn't a 11th gen i5 on the motherboard?

I have seen conflicting info on this, some says you can run 3200mhz etc, some say you cannot.

Can someone suggest me build for around 2L including everything monitor and peripherals. Writing parts below which one of my friend suggested me. This excludes the monitor and keyboard/mouse. Also, will be particularly used for gaming and rendering jewellery models.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: I already have a Corsair H80i packed lying around which I can use
Motherboard: ASRock B550 Extreme4 ATX AM4 Motherboard
Memory: ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D60G 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory
Storage: Western Digital SN750 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10 GB Founders Edition Video Card
Case: Lian Li Lancool II Mesh ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair TXM Gold 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply

Go for LG GL850, that is a 27 inch, 1440p IPS monitor with 144hz refresh rate, costs around 36-40k now.

for speakers you can go for this LG LK72B speaker https://www.amazon.in/LG-LK72B-Blastic-Multimedia-Speakers/dp/B07F1X5P57 this costs 4k

Normally i would suggest Logitech ones but the budget ones do not seem to be available anywhere.

Above is the Logitech Z623 2.1 speakers, but it costs 12K.

rest of your build is good, specs wise.

Monitor seems to confuse me. I bought the same 27 inch but 1080p and not 2k. 1440p seems to be expensive but i guess it will be worth spending.

Don't need speakers as I already have Bose QC35 and I hardly use speakers.

Don't go for 1080p. Your build will be massive overkill for that lol. That's a 4k build.

Correct. Although i wont be playing any single player games and will only run Warzone or other FPS games only.

I havent' kept up with latest CPU's. Is 5600x and B550 sufficient for 1440p 144hz?  :scratchchin:

Yes, going above 1080p is GPU heavy more than CPU heavy.

5600X is the current top of the line 6C/12T processor, so it should do.

Well CPU factors in when you're pushing frames right, which he wants to do obviously with 144hz monitor

also just to add I'll be streaming whenever i'll be playing. Does this require anything else or change of any component?

I'd go for a 8 core 16 thread CPU for a smooth experience of both gaming and streaming..

config looks good to me, check if you want to add in a regular HDD as well.  I have more or less the same config (maybe some different brands for some components), but instead of 3080, I've 3060ti - which is apparently good enough for 2K gaming.  BTW, I've this monitor: LG Ultragear 32GK650, if you dont mind the large screen size (32"), its awesome in terms of playing games.  Maybe not that good for office work (since its not ips panel).  I've THX certified Logitech Z625 speakers (2.1) and damn they're good. Even at 50% of the volume/bass it sounds terrific, I mostly play video games / movies / music at 25%-50% to avoid disturbing neighbors / others in the house !!

Just curious to know the price at which you are getting the GPU.
