Phoenix Wright
guys, did not where to ask but is NVIDIA GT 520 better than 8800gts?? Nah. GT520 is a terrible card for anything gaming related. Do not touch even with a 10ft pole.

El Tigre Chino
Woah, How much did the 590 and Ripjaws cost you?
dylanjosh
Help needed! Want to upgrade my comp. Right now it's crap. Doesn't even play Portal 1. Budget is 50k. Can someone list specs in that range? I don't know anything about this stuff. Thanks
dylanjosh
Is this a good list? http://tech2.in.com/features/desktops/build-your-gaming-rig-for-roughly-50k/248592 I don't need monitor and speakers and keyboard and mouse and HDD... i don't think i even need the cabinet so removing all that the price comes to 38k and removing power supply (do I really need a new one? does it make a difference?) it comes to 34k. So what should i change to make it 50k? Edited October 28, 2011 by Bagpipes
Phoenix Wright
So what should i change to make it 50k? CPU: i5-2500k - Around 10.5k Mobo: ASUS P8Z68-V Around 11.5k (Ask around and see if you can get the ASRock Z68 Extreme 4-Gen3 anywhere, though) RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 1600MHz CL9 8GB (4GBx2) - 3.4k GPU: ASUS ENGTX570 DirectCU II - Around 20.5k. PSU: Corsair HX650 - 6.5k Total comes up to around 52.5k, but you can go for a MSI R6950 Twin Frozr III at ~16k and pair it with a Corsair GX600 (~4k) or 700 (~5k) if you want to save money. You can also pair these PSUs with the GTX570. So take your pick. Woah, How much did the 590 and Ripjaws cost you? Oops, didn't notice this. 35k and I got the 1.25v Snipers (not the Ripjaws) for 6.8k. Sackboy
No the seasonic PSU is good and Z68 is a waste of money , get a P67 or H67 If you are bot overclocking get a i5 2400 with the intel DH67BL motherboard ( for 5.3k , tge price and features are impossible to beat ) Make the GFX card MSI 6950 2GB twinf frozr III/OC And get the Dell U2311 ( recommended ) or G2420 Make ram GSkill Ripjaws 8GB 1333 MHz for 3.2k

Big Boss
Ok, time for a PC build if something I planned goes okay. Budget=30-35k, no monitor required. I will be playing on my TV on 1366x768/1920x1080. I would like a good Cabinet, a quad core CPU with good clock speed, DVD writer, NVIDIA GPU (no ATI no matter how VFM they are, enough of ATI trouble for me), KB/Mouse (cheap wireless will do), 4 GB RAM and 1 TB HDD and a good Corsair PSU. Possible in my budget? I am not interested in overclocking CPU. Also the mobo needs to be somewhat future proof (support for two GPUs is a plus)
Sackboy
Why not ? CPU - Intel i5 2400 - 9300 Mobo - Intel DH67LB - 5200 KB/Mouse - logitech wireless combo - 1000 Ram - Corsair DDR3 4GB 1333MHz - 1300 DVD - Sony OEM - 950 HDD - 1TB seagate Barracuda - 2650 GPU - MSI NVidia 560 Ti Twin Frozr II/OC - 13800 PSU - Corsair VX450 - 3500 Cabinet - Cooler Master Elite 310 - 1500 Total- 39200 ( Mental calculation , might be wrong ) This is the best I could give with your config
Big Boss
Goes over budget. How about an AMD build with Nvidia GPU? Dont worry about 2 GPU slots. I am looking at AMD 955 BE. Good procy? Or very outdated? Sufficient to last for 2-3 years without bottlenecking GPU?
