ALPHA17
^^ Still nothing, just search for alpha17i --> STEAM iD. Cheerio!
Ph3N0M
^Sent you a Friend Invite. Strange that my ID isn't showing up. :scratchchin:/> Also, Sleeping Dogs download just completed, and I had to re-enable VPN before starting the game. Also, I'll now have to download some free High-res textures DLC for max settings(again by first re-enabling VPN). I guess I'm not lucky enough to start playing it today. @Joe, you sure about HMA exploiting its users? What is the cheapest but safe VPN option? Any specific reason apart from being anonymous? 2) Cheap is not always good, but I would recommend VPNsecure.me (try 2-days trial plan if you want to test..I'm using it on my netbook for last 6 months and it's top notch!) http://www.vpnsecure.me/compare/ (OpenVPN - $9.95 is good price / month..They have their own app or you can use OpenVPN configs) To set your Steam ID, go to your profile page, then click Edit my profile. There you have an option to setup your ID. What's your suggestion in this situation? And I did set-up my ID, and Alpha could even accept my friend invite. Yet, my Id is not visible by searching for some strange reason. If you can bypass it via VPN, then go for VPNsecure.me (try trial plan and then upgrade monthly plan if you're happy with it) oh and weird Steam ID issue.. I think lesser speed is no longer an issue(as long as it is usable), as I can always switch back to my regular connection after starting downloads via VPN, and online gaming over VPN would anyway not be viable. Considering that, which VPN gets your suggestion now? Edited December 9, 2012 by Ph3N0M

Can you please elaborate this? From what I understand, you are saying that they use the PCs of their customers to do their computing work over the net, without asking for permission. And is there any harm in it?

And is there any harm in it? pretty much..They could be logging your IP address or browsing information and selling it to advertising companies, and are inherently more likely to bend easily and immediately under any kind of legal pressure. why pay to such provider when you can get better VPN service? ScrewyAurum
Ran into a problem in my hunt for a high performance Laptop. Apparently no one can find me the exact config for the ASUS G75VW so now thinking of going the Alienware way. The problem is the Indian site only has the GT675M no 7970M. Is getting the 675 worth it? ScrewyAurum
You can't really "test" out an alienware at chroma. Its best to get feedback from someone who has already used it or something similar.
ScrewyAurum
I finally settled to the M17X (from the states) What do you guys think of these specs i7 3630QM 8GB dual channel DDR3 1600MHz 1 TB Raid 0 7970M 2GB GDDR5

But you not going with nvidia 3D vision bundle kit? I think around 250$ more required.
ScrewyAurum
While the 3D is pretty solid, it would require me to get the 680 which is double the price of the 7970 and only about 10 (or less) percent better performance wise.
