Kazekage Gaara
nope no plans to overclock ya thnks abt the smps advice as well and yeah u asked abt pc assembling il be enquiring local store and goin to lamington as i stay in mumbai I've found prices of PrimeABGB better than any shop I've ever visited in Lamington road, and believe me, I've done quite a lot of shopping at Lamington road, and almost 90% of it was ultimately at PrimeABGB I would suggest you to roam around a few shops at Lamington Road and get the prices of the parts you wanna buy and then visit PrimeABGB last and compare them with their pricing Edited April 3, 2013 by Kazekage Gaara

rahul
Hi Rahul, this is what I suggest -- Intel Core i5 3330 ~9500/- GIGABYTE-B75M-D3H ~4500/- Corsair Vengeance 4 GB x2 1600 MHz ~3600/- HP / ASUS (boxed) optical drive ~1100/- Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 / Western Digital Blue Edition 1 TB ~3800/- -->4000/- nVidia GTX650 Ti Boost edition ~12500/- OR Sapphire HD7850 2 GB ~13000/- Corsair CX v2430W ~2800/- or Antec VP450W ~2800/- NZXT Gamma or Cooler Master eLite 311 Plus ~3000/- APC 650VA UPS ~2500/- Tell him to keep his current monitor and get a replacement for that later. Hope this helps, Cheerio! Yes, online prices can be pretty dated another reason I keep them only for guestimates, serious price can be collected by visiting the local PC hardware haven once in two months. That's plenty helpful Alpha! Thanks a ton.
kemosabe
Yes. Got the components I needed. Flipkart had the nerve of jacking the prices of i5 3570 to Rs. 14,952/- which is even higher than the 3570K. Thankfully, I got it locally for much cheaper and same goes for the RAM and motherboard. Good thing I didn't fall for those stupid Flipkart pricing. how much do you paid for with tax ?? the flipkart price is inclusive of tax. If these are out of reach, the best for you will be Sapphire HD7850 2 GB. Looks like RAM prices have gone up. I remember buying Corsair Vengeance 4GB x2 for around 2.8k last year. Price manipulation. varundbest
If you aren't overclocking, then there's simply no need to set aside 10k for cooling. Colling is coz i might keep d pc running for 18 hours or so (torrent) and when i get in d mood, i play 4 around 8-9 hours (once in a blue moon)

If you need to go over the top, replace the stock fans with imported Scythe Gentle Typhoons / Corsair's High-Air-Flow models.
Ph3N0M
^ Alpha, I think you should look into making a detailed guide for cooling requirements of new PCs. That may help a lot of people.

CdrShawnzer
I have put together this config, can someone give me the street prices of these components? I will be buying from stores in Laminghton Road,MumbaiAlso, someone on another forum was telling me to add an FX 8350 in the config because "All future games will use 6 cores or more, for example crysis 3 and battlefield 3".Is this right? do i really need an Octa-Core processor? Sach4life
Hd 7790 recently launched at 11k, I guess I would be able to get it for 10k from wazirpur or nehru place. Is it worth to get it over hd 7770 and how does it fare against gtx 650 ti?

Was that on TechEnclave? I think a quad-core should hold well for three-four years. All depending on how well the multi-core optimisation is derived from the upcoming generation of consoles. You can get most of these components from Prime ABGB or The IT Wares, Lamington Rd. itself. Please note that the graphic card that you have short listed is too anaemic for future generation of games, would suggest you go for a GTX660 2GB or better. Same with the SMPS, go for a Seasonic S12II 520W. NZXT Gamma instead of the Source Elite 210. Hd 7790 recently launched at 11k, I guess I would be able to get it for 10k from wazirpur or nehru place. Is it worth to get it over hd 7770 and how does it fare against gtx 650 ti? Not worth it, the GTX650Ti or AMD HD7850 1GB will be a better deal. ronaldinho
ohk i have setup this configuration for my new gaming pc.. i3 3220 b75-d3h 4x2 corsair vengence 1600mhz cooler master thunder 500w zotac 650ti cabinet elite 311 plus is it fine,, ? and are all components compatible ? wil it run all games atleast on medium settings
ALPHA17
cooler master thunder 500w Bad, avoid this at all costs, go for a Seasonic S12II 520W or Antec VP550W minimum. zotac 650ti AMD HD7850 2 GB / 1 GB. would be a better choice, although ZOTAC! cards can be substituted by ASUS, GIGABYTE offerings too. Also, be on the lookout for the new GTX650 Ti Boost Edition cards. Try to bag those or the HD7850. Rest all components check out for me, should run most games with medium eye-candy for a year, tops two.

ALPHA17
thanks man but a bit tight on budget Okay, just change the SMPS in that case, else, you might as well start saving up for another build after this.
