Hello all!

I'm actually writing to you from New Zealand, as part of a huge global community who are in the midst of playing an international "Alternative Reality Game" (wiki entry). This is my first time playing one of these games - kind of like what would happen if you found yourself caught up in a real life RPG, and had to interact with a fictional story and characters through email, blog, im, etc - as yourself.

FOR THOSE IN BANGALORE:

It's part online and part offline, and one of the major components offline has been the real-life collection of envelopes from cities all around the world (including San Francisco, Seoul, Tokyo, London, Toronto, Sydney, and many more).

Unfortunately we're currently a bit stuck, as an envelope needs to be picked up in Bangalore, and the global community playing the game have been totally unable to find someone there to help us. Can any of the (by the looks many) gamers in Bangalore help us out? An example of the pages contained within can be found HERE. The words are all typewritten in Esperanto...

If anyone is interested in taking on this real-world mission, send me an email or pm through these forums and I can answer your questions and fill you in on where the envelope is, and what we need from the contents.

Here are some links into the game - it's been running for over 3 months, and the story is a bit complex at this point, but there are many of us who would be more than happy to explain for you.

A Beginner's Guide to the Game - from the player-created Wiki about the game.

Official Game Hub Site - including movie-style trailers, and links to other in-game websites.

The Players' Forum - filled with lots of friendly, helpful people.

Hello again!

FOR THOSE IN NEW DELHI:

On a related note, a new offline twist has seen groups needing to "draw" giant Labyrinth Designs upon 27 cities around the world using the city streets, and a GPS device called a "trackstick". One of those 27 cities is New Delhi, and unfortunately we don't have any players living there. You can find a description of the mission on one of the fictional characters' blogs HERE, and examples of Labyrinth Designs currently being proposed for some of the other cities HERE (scroll down).

As above, if anyone is interested in leading a team to do this real-world mission, send me an email or pm through these forums and I can answer your questions and fill you in on more info.

And you can find out more about the game from the links in the post above. :(
