ctrl_alt_del
Rs. 600 a month? Kinda costly, isin't it? Is it worth it? I have never play a MMORPG before. Would this be a good stepping stone?
Tyler
It's been getting really good reviews. Many are calling it the next best MMORPG after WoW. I'm getting it for sure. I love the Conan universe... seems like a great way to start getting into MMOs for me!
ctrl_alt_del
By when can you get the game? Would like to know your views before I jump in. Rs.600 a month still seems to be the major roadblock for me.
Tyler
^^ I'll probably get it next month, a friend returning from the states is getting it for me. From what I've seen so far, this really seems to be my kind of game. WoW never really interested me much despite being a fan of the WarCraft RTS games and I was kinda looking forward to Tabula Rasa but it turned to be quite meh... Hahaman
^^hey wht bout the monthly fee? where to buy prepaid cards?
Tyler
Well you'll have to get it from eBay or online stores. Or else you can register your credit card and they will debit the fee every month. Kinda like XBL.
nash
From what I've seen and heard the game has tons of potential but as is the case with most MMOs, AoC should only be picked up after maybe a year or so (or so the MMO experts tell me)
MarketTantrik
Just got my copy of AoC (Thanks XephY ) Anyone else have this game yet ?
nash
So I've been playing the game for a while now and I think it rocks. It looks good, plays well and the combat system is pretty intuitive (no more clickfest here). Haven't PVPed much but me and a couple of Shamans did go on a rampage killing level 6 creeps. XephY
Rub it in my face and tell me what I'm missing. I may pick up this or WoW + Burning Crusade again in September for WotLK
nash
Fck WoW.. AoC has boobies and fatalities...
XephY
WoW had its own charm, besides Night Elves and Blood Elves and Human Females have boobies too My guild mates(from WoW) and who currently play AoC tell me that the game is fun while you level up, then theres not much in terms of organised PvP and endgame raiding. This is where Blizz owns by providing endgame content constantly in patches almost every 2 months, and it takes a while to get through as well. However, they say, similar patches for AoC on the way, after some time though

XephY
Also, I dunno how much install space it really takes but minimum system requirements on the box said 32 GB....I was like wtf ? How much does it actually take? I don't think it can really be that much... Probably 10-15 gigs max?
MarketTantrik
Also, I dunno how much install space it really takes but minimum system requirements on the box said 32 GB....I was like wtf ? How much does it actually take? I don't think it can really be that much... Probably 10-15 gigs max? I wasnt referring to the install size (which is 25 GB after the initial install). I was talking about the updates that are required to be downloaded by the in-game updater before you can actually start playing. 1.6GB
