Dark Souls 2 gets 25th April release on PC, system requirements revealed

Dark Souls 2 releases on PS3 and Xbox 360 on 14th March, and the delayed PC version now finally has a release date as well.

From Software’s latest will arrive on PC on 25th April, and according to an update on the game’s Facebook page, the PC version will feature “increased texture resolution” and “enhanced frame rate option”, and the developers are reworking controls to adapt to keyboard and mouse.

Those who preorder the PC version on Steam will also get the digital soundtrack, early access to the Black Armour weapon set, the Dark Souls 2 digital artbook, and the Dark Souls 2 digital comic book.

Here are the system requirements for Dark Souls 2 on PC:

  • OS: Windows XP SP3, Vista SP2, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8
  • Processor: AMD Phenom II X2 555 3.2Ghz or Intel Pentium Core 2 Duo E8500 3.17Ghz
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia Geforce 9600GT, ATI Radeon HD 5870
  • DirectX: Version 9.0c
  • Hard drive: 14 GB
  • Controller support: Xbox 360 controller (or equivalent) recommended

Recommended

  • OS: Windows 7 SP1
  • Processor: Intel Core i3 2100 3.10GHz or AMD A8 3870K 3.0GHz
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia Geforce GTX 465 or higher, ATI Radeon HD 6870 or higher
  • DirectX: Version 9.0c
  • Hard Drive: 14 GB
  • Controller support: Xbox 360 controller (or equivalent) recommended

Meanwhile, all console preorders of Dark Souls 2 will be upgraded (while supplies last) to the Black Armour Edition, which includes a metal case, the soundtrack, and early access to the Black Armour weapon set. However, we’re not sure if this applies to India as well.
