Just because MS is doing it (Only from this gen btw) not because of the generosity from their heart but only because they need to pull as many gimmicks as possible, doesnt put Sony in the wrong.
Also doesnt help MS's case that they sell a 170 bucks controller.
The fact that ps4 controllers can connect to a ps5 and work with ps4 games running on ps5 simply means that sony ould chave easily added full support for ps4 controllers in all games (atleast those games that wont use the new features in the ps5 controller as I feel most if not all third party games wont). Anyway this doesn't hugely effect me as I did not have a ps4 so I did not have any ps4 controllers but for buying extra controllers for offline multiplayer with friends 2nd hand dualshock 4 wouldve been a very good option.

They have said that ps4 controllers will work on ps4 games running on a ps5.
PS4 controllers wont work with PS5 games though (which is a d**k move by sony by the way but not much we can do in that regard)

It's cheaper than ps plus in India (1050 rs for 6 months). But yes if you look at usa they have removed 12 month codes option and the best they can get is 6 months for 40 usd while ps plus is 60usd for a year.

& I think it’s about time both companies merge their two subscriptions into one
Gamepass already includes all benefits of Gold. And for people that dont want gamepass can just get gold for less money. So xbox is doing the right thing with their subcriptions I feel.

Has any info been given about for how long the ps plus collection will be available on ps plus to be claimed after ps5 launch? I am extremely interested in it as I did not have a ps4.
Usually games are available to for a month only on ps plus, will that also be the case with ps plus collection?

I didn't move out of gaming, I shifted to gaming laptops because I had to move around a lot due to college/hostel. As I said I have not played any ps exclusives but I have been playing other third party games that release on pc.

Thats good to hear about the sales but I still feel getting the disc version will be the safer bet and ultimately cost less if you are willing to indulge into the trading/2nd hand market and reselling discs.
Also what is the cheapest way to buy ps plus nowadays?

if you go to playstation store india website and check prices of older games for ps4 , you will notice almost all the older games are more expensive than amazon/flipkart etc.
I have no idea about sales though.

Spiderman is not in the free on ps plus list.
These are the games that will be free on ps plus: God of War, Monster Hunter: World, Final Fantasy XV, Fallout 4, Mortal Kombat X, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Ratchet & Clank, Days Gone, Until Dawn, Detroit: Become Human, Battlefield 1, Infamous Second Son, Batman: Arkham Knight, The Last Guardian, The Last of Us Remastered, Persona 5, and Resident Evil 7
And anyway I want know what happens to disc/digital owners of these games (plus spiderman). Will the discs work on ps5 and if they work will they work in ps4 mode or will they get ps5 remastered update for free.

Have they announced anything regarding playing ps4 discs on the ps5? I know that was not possible for ps3 discs on ps4 but xbox 360 discs worked on xbox one. Would also be interesting to know if existing spiderman owners will get free upgrade to remastered version (not talking about miles morales but just the remaster of the original game that will be included with miles morales ultimate edition)

Is there any info regarding which games will run at 4k 60fps and which games will offer 1440p/1080p 120fps mode?

What does everyone think about the price difference in digital and normal edition? Assuming the price is 40k and 50k respecively in India, Which version are you guys looking at? I am very confused in this regard.
Note: I dont have any ps4 discs as I did not own a ps4 and pretty much the only reason I am planning to buy ps5 over series x is the exclusives.
Please explain your choice/decision as that will help me decide also!

Shat the bed with their console? Most people here keep forgetting that XSX is same price as PS5 despite being more powerful and will run games at higher settings/more stable framerates. Only reason I am getting PS5 over XSX is the exclusives.
Edit: Also I have used xbox 360 and xbox one controllers and even though I don't mind the batteries, I agree they should provide rechargeable batteries included.
