Arkham Inmate
Anyone using xbox live with an airtel connection???
jDaMn
I've used live on airtel (beetel modem) before, no problem (moderate NAT though). Have you tried testing your network connection (system settings)? It may help you find at what point you are having connectivity issues.
nitmeh3
Try this : disconnect from your wifi network . Create a network bridge between LAN and WLAN . Then connect to your Wifi network using your laptop. Now , connect the the 360 to your laptop with an ethernet cable. And voila. You have your wireless connection on 360 ready. And first try with Automatic IP settings. If it doesnt work then i will give you the manual ones.

Choron ka raja
That error means your xbox is connecting to internet but not to live. Having the same problem here, with airtel connection only. No solution yet. Oh during test connection, it says MTU setting should be higher than 1364, or DNS unresolved. In case, you are getting the same error message, then dude, we are in the same boat here. Oh, in case you resolved that issue, PM me too. Would be really thankful to you. doctorxerxes
I was using airtel in mangalore .. Currently im in bombay.. Nevermind that, the point being that i too struggled and finally was on the verge of giving up.. Until i looked up microsofts support page in great detail.. What they suggested was to just configure you mac address of your pc to match your xbox.. I was skeptical , but i tried , and the damn thing worked.. Just to reconfirm it , i changed the mac address , this time it did not connect. But when i changed it back , it was working flawlessly ... Hope this helps, cos it sure helped me.. Tyler
Arkham Inmate, looks like the problem you're facing is related to the XBL ports being blocked on your router/modem. Google for the Xbox LIVE ports and how to forward them from your router. I'm using the same kind of setup. Airtel broadband > Beetel modem > Netgear Wi-fi router > Xbox Wireless adapter and it works fine. I had to do port forwarding though. Before that I was facing the exact same issue you are facing. The Xbox is able to connect to the internet but not LIVE. Oh btw, the 360 wireless adapter is expensive no doubt but it works well. I've had no issues so far.
