FIFA on PS3 gets 3D support; looks “stunning”
Lots of new information came out of our recent interview with Sony Computer Entertainment India country manager Atindriya Bose, such as the confirmation that Gran Turismo 5 will have two collector’s editions. Another juicy tidbit from that interview is that FIFA is coming to PS3 with 3D support, and according to the PlayStation India head, it looks “stunning”.
Bose said FIFA was shown running in 3D at E3 last month along with flagship 3D titles. “I’ve seen games like MotorStorm and WipEout in 3D, and even FIFA running in 3D. They look stunning.” When asked “FIFA in 3D?” to reconfirm, he replied, “Yes, I saw a bit of it. It looks stunning.” You can read our complete interview with Atindriya Bose here.
EA seems to have embraced the concept of 3D games wholeheartedly, with Crysis 2 and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit also playable in 3D this year. This news, of course, doesn’t mean that FIFA 11 won’t support 3D on the Xbox 360; just that it will on the PS3.
