Because of viewership and ticket sales. Day matches don't get as many viewers or ticket sales on weekdays.

That is why I said limits to greed. Changing match timings changes playing conditions to such a huge extent.

Every other country is playing day matches. Only BCCI, which already has all the money in the world is trying to extract every last drop of revenue.

Also how will you even compare the differences when there are no day matches taking place nowadays? At major centres, all ODIs will be houseful regardless of timing. Most people these days are streaming the matches on their phones, so viewership also has changed.

At the very least this could be done on weekends. Also I don't get the obsession with running major events and finals late on Sundays when people have to get to work next morning.

Anyone watching Ashes? Was hoping it would be more competitive than this 😕

More competitive than I expected. The last 3 Ashes in Australia have been 5-0, 4-0 and 4-0 and this England team is looking worse than the one from the last two tours. This is looking like a 5-0.

That 25 overs each innings sounds like a good idea. Both teams get to bat and bowl in similar conditions.

Or just start playing during normal time. Why the f**k is every single ODI Day/Night only? Surely there must be limits to greed.

Guys, any recommendations for a good resort in Andaman?
Absolutely no goal other than sitting beside the beach and chilling. Looking for something which has private access to the beach and a decent pool.

    Here's what I did.

Flew to Port Blair, took a same day boat to Havelock. Immediately hired a scooty from an agent near the jetty @ Rs 500 per day.

If you want a beachside resort, I highly recommend the east side of the island. Radhanagar beach on the west is nice, but only worth one sunset, not much more.

You can instead spend the entire day chilling at Kala Pathar beach on the east side. The edge of the beach has thick tree cover and beds you can lie down on. There are food stalls nearby that serve good seafood.

In my case I stayed at De Foret which is on the middle of the island. Radhanagar Beach was about 5 mins away and Kala Pathar beach was 20 mins away. Nice pool and food was excellent too.

My first choice was Silver Sands Resort next to Kala Pathar beach but it was slightly over budget. A friend stayed at SeaShell resort and he highly recommended it but it was even more expensive.

If we lose this series (Which most likely we will) & End up losing in Aus then surely Rohit & Kohli will be shown the door as we know how Gautam is. Also we need 4 wins out of 6 (2 Nz & 4 Aus) so if we lose both series then we will not get into the WTC final.

Gautam should be the first one to be shown the door in that case. We've gone from hopes of a competent showing in Australia to struggling against a far weaker team at home.

For NE, consider Sikkim - especially North Sikkim.

Best time to visit would be November and December. You will find snow in the upper reaches.

For Kashmir, November and December will be mostly dry and cold.
Jan and Feb are good months for snowfall.

I have already been to Jammu and Kashmir last year, so not planning for that right now, maybe next year.

Sikkim sounds good. I was considering Meghalaya at first. Does Sikkim require ILP? If so how to get it?

    What about Andaman?

Can we win 2nd test match?

Also lol at England. Their own weather owned them.

They lost because of their own hubris. Declaring too early in the first Test, declaring too late in this Test.

Cummins Calmness is brilliant. Getting results and shutting down people who are ready with pitchforks.
Rohit Sharma said the WTC series should be a 3 match series to which Cummins said - Olympics are 1 match.

When told by reporters that Ben Stokes said he wouldn't have liked a win in that manner ( about the Bairstow dismissal ), Cummins replied "OK."

When asked whether we would see a mankad dismissal in the series, he replied "Depends on how flat the wickets get."

  9. After Bairstow got out Stokes went from 60s to 107* in some 15-20 mins. Just hitting everything for 4/6 and taking single on last ball.

Partnership 50* off 29 balls of which Broad has 1* (8)
