No one cares, bro. This isn't a forum to discuss social issues. It's a place to discuss video games between so called priveleged people.

You are completely out of touch in the opposite way. You literally can't fathom how normal middle class people think.

I’m not discussing social issues. I’m saying gaming is a luxury hobby, especially on the latest gen as well as PC. And speaking of middle class mindset, middle class is defined as those between 2 and 10 lakhs per annum in India. How many of them do you think prioritises gaming? You have your priorities and so do I. Gaming is a priority for me. I spend most of my money on things I want related to gaming and entertainment. But I also understand that it’s not the norm and can accept that in India, gaming comes at a premium. All I’m saying is we should be aware of that fact.

Shut your trap man, we fukin have Ikea selling their costly sh*t and it's readily avaiable to buy, from 40-50k beds, we have dishwashers readily in stock at stores like kohinoor which freakin cost Rs.60k+ and harly 10% population use it here, you could usea freakin 20k fridge to store your food but no people want the readily available rs.1lac mode with some gimmick sh*t. And oh yeah just saw some futuristic toilet ad, BC sala shitna toh hai? Toh yeh sab ata hai, PC ke costly part aate hai, par jo kangaal 4-5k PS5 ate hai woh bhi actual buyer ke pass na jaye ? Uske liye baki product jaise law banane me kuch nahi jayega, khali paisa khane walo ko kam khane milega, par waise bhi khaynge toh jaroor, toh at least hum logo ko humara console mile.

Rs.50k mai toh discounted s20 ultra bhi nahi milega bhai tabhi bhi phone ke stock shop to customer barabar circulate hote hai, console ko bhi same treatmet chahiye. Jiske pass next gen na ho woh jane.

If you call tech products still a privilege in 2021 india, toh bhai modiji naraj ho jayenge itni economic development karke

And how much % of our country can afford all that? Holy crap the amount of ignorance here is so high

Yeah well you are wrong. 40k-50k items aren't luxury. By that sense, vu tv, refrigerators, double beds, sofas are also luxurious.

It’s not the price of the product, it’s the intent. Gaming doesn’t rate high on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs so it is a niche product that serves a very specific, non-essential purpose

I don't think you get it. I'm saying everyone is priveleged so it's irrelevant to the conversation. You cannot use muh privelege as some gotcha argument.

My entire point was that things such as high end TV, phones, consoles are luxury items purely from a point of view of where we are as a country. You’re the one who went off a tangent and started spouting nonsense about 3 shirts and clean water being a luxury.

  5. 2 minutes ago, Mr. Comingle said:

If you're going by the baseline then clean water and more than 3 pairs of clothes are also luxury items.

So no criticism or bitching allowed.

Every post must start with #thanksgiving for our priveleged lives.

There is a complete thread here about why microtransactions suck. Guess that should be closed down as well because #firstworldproblems.

Most people here are #privileged and all problems faced by anyone here are #firstworldproblems. Deal with it.

Such hyperbole, much wow. Bro go eat dosa for 3x prices. Just because something is “eSsEnTiAl” for you doesn’t mean it counts as an essential item. My argument was against his moronic justification that a gaming console is not a luxury item. People criticise micro transactions with the full cognisance that it’s not a necessity in life. Normal people do anyway. And if you think you aren’t privileged then you need a wake up call.

And lastly if mobile phones which cost like 70k + and TVs that cost 1Lac + like oleds are not declared as luxury then why would a flippin 50k console be luxury, at this point in time, even a iphone SE or S21 FE or whatever might have more mrp than a console, that is still not luxury ?

How do you consistently have a sh*t take on the most obvious of topics? Are you so oblivious to the privilege that we have? A gaming console is a luxury item. As is an expensive TV or the latest flagship smartphone. In case you didn’t realise, there is an India that doesn’t even have access to basic amenities like running water or electricity. We are still a 3rd world country so your personal priorities aren’t and shouldn’t be an indicator of what is essential and what is luxury.

Can I at least say mean thing about them?

Sorry but I am completely on the edge after spending 3 months in a new city (HYD). I am getting gouged on everything from dosa to rent to taxis to veggies. I have completely lost in the people of this after having dealt with the most opportunistic piece of shits day in and day out.

I don't really see any solution to not getting charged 1,500 bucks (3x) of what the app shows to get me to my home from the piece of sh*t airport.

And I don't really understand why people call gaming consoles a luxury item. It's as important for me as a bed or a refrigerator. If actively keeping people away from their beloved hobbies isn't a crime, it damn well should be.

I hope PPGC and all his scalper buddies go bankrupt.

I can relate to your frustration but you’re so focused on venting it out through violence or hate that you’re overlooking solutions. I assume Swiggy Genie/Dunzo services your area? Or maybe Amazon Fresh? That should help with groceries. And your airport fare shouldn’t be a regular expense unless you work in the airport? Charging more for travel from/to airport isn’t a new thing or just a Hyderabad thing. If you used a regular taxi instead of an Uber or Ola, you could have negotiated after checking price difference if the rates they said seemed steep. Above all this, being in an unfamiliar city could have left you frustrated but the more you act like an outsider, the more reasons people around will have to treat you like one. I would suggest picking up the basic phrases of Telugu you’ll need to survive. Showing you care enough to learn the local language can go a long way.

And coming to your point about a gaming console being a luxury item. You need a hundred different things sorted in life before you can even consider buying a gaming console. Does this seriously need to be spelled out?

Anyway, enough OT. I hope you settle into Hyderabad soon.

Bro these are all alternative solutions.

Case in consumer court, beatdown or these f**kers being driven out of business by MNCs.

All of which you think are harsh.

Awfully supportive of scalpers aren't you.

You’re calling for violence for a gaming console. Yes, this is a gaming forum and we are all avid gamers here but you need to get your priorities right and calm down. People are getting killed in our country for various unacceptable reasons and your casual suggestion for “giving these f**kers a beatdown” speaks volumes about your mindset. I can only suggest that you take a step back and reflect.

I’ve seen the Amazon ones. Also aware of the specific grades the kits come in. Many of the Amazon options looked fake. That’s why I’m looking for sellers who stock it. Iirc there was a Gundam Galaxy in Bangalore but I think they shut shop. Looking for similar sources.

There's a particular section where game or any NPC doesn't tell you what to do unless you exactly do what you said there.

It's the fun part, players have to figure out on their own.

I said nothing specific in my comment. The option to not speak exists throughout the game.

    Let’s leave it at that

Choices are shared across saves? I don't get you.. how is that even possible

Yeah. You get 3 save slots and regardless of whether you save before you make a choice or not, your choices will be carried over to those saves.

For instance. if I make 2 manual saves before I make an important choice - to test out both choice A and B, if I progress the story further on Save file 1 and then load Save file 2, the choices I made in Save file 1 will be automatically loaded.

You can read about it here:  https://www.thegamer.com/guardians-of-the-galaxy-chapter-select-decisions-save-file-overwrite/

    From the above article:

”Guardians of the Galaxy has three save files, however, Chapter Select is shared between all three save files and it takes into account your most recent decision. This means you can't switch between two save files and replay the different decisions/outcomes as you please.

TheGamer reached Square Enix for comment and was told "Chapter select gets overwritten if you start a new game. We will always store the most current 'version' of a playthrough" by the PR team.”

Do the fights/bosses/enemies change ? Change in environments ? Or just dialogues and reactions ?

Sometimes not choosing an answer will result in enemies not spawning. And some choices also affect future missions and cooperation from allies. There are also dialogue changes.

There are 2 types of choices. Immediate effect, like dialogues or trust etc and future effect where the consequence is only clear in a later chapter. You can reload a checkpoint and try the other option for immediate effect choices but can’t do the same for future effect choices. You can’t choose the other option even if you reload a save file and replay any particular section since choices are shared across saves. Only way is to play again.

Edit: it doesn’t really say anywhere what kind of choice you’re dealing with but you’ll more or less get an idea if what you’re choosing is big picture stuff or the little things.

  13. I’ve been playing this game continuously since last night. Soo flarking good! The fight mechanics take some getting used to but goddamn is it good once you figure it out. The dialogues, the story, the weight of your choices - everything is so well done. If only Avengers was made the same way. There are still some minor bugs and I’ve had to restart from checkpoints 2 or 3 times but minor stuff compared to the positives of the game.

Sleep is for the weak. I’m finishing this today and replaying with entirely new choices.

    Thanks a ton.

Although now that I've seen the GTS steelbook, I'm smitten.

They're still offering it for PS4 version with SB.

I guess PS4 to PS5 upgrade is free, right ?

I hear you. Had I not already ordered the PS5 version, I’d have gotten the PS4 version from GTS and upgraded just for the steelbook. Trying to find someone willing to part with their bonus steelbook now

The scenario where you can just visit a shop or a website and see PS5 stock lying around to make a purchase isn't going to happen any time soon.

Making connections with your local retailers is the best way to get one.

Or bots (ones that don’t save payment details) if you can keep track of the drop dates
