  1. @NorthWith Niyo you can withdraw from ATM as well use anywhere. However do note that they will deduct extra 20% as TCS and will refund after 12 days if overall spend doesn't exceed TCS threshold limit. However their system is very good in deducting money but no so in retuning. Had to escalate.

My startagy is to use Niyo for cash withdrawal and CC for all other uses.

Also ATM withdrawal charges are by bank and will mostly shown in ATM screen

yeah, I dont do much airline travel, most is domestic and maybe 1-2 times a year.

Guess I’ll stick with ltf regalia, I dont go to the lounge anyway lol

If your monthly spends are more than 50k+ and doing/planning 1 international trip in 2 years then having miles cards help you offset part of travel expenses and even allow you experience luxury for fraction of cost.

Based on your credit limit, you can ask for upgrade to DCB too.

Yeah I have HDFC card for that discount. So with student discount+HDFC combined I might get same price at a store.

But free airpods is a really solid deal tbh, don't think any stores will offer that. I'll call Logix RD and Croma once and see, otherwise proceed on Apple's website.

Wish delivery times were faster, it says the earliest is 9th August.

So any offline store matched price? What's final deal you got?

What is this obsession with credit limit? Do you even hit that upper cap ever? I have Infinia & Icici/Amazon but I hardly ever spend more than 50K a month combined. Most of small ticket items are paid via UPI than hassling cards.

Limit helps in getting better cards. So even if you just spending 1-2 % of limit, a better limit is always preferred.

@hannibal09 Need some clarification regarding HDFC Smartbuy Points cap. Does the daily cap include base RPs or only Bonus RPs for a Smartbuy transaction?

Let's say I make a purchase of 54000 on SB using DCB which has 2500/day cap and 3x multiplier.

    Will I get:

    1) 54000/150 = 360*5 = 1800*3 = 5400 but capped to 2500, so 2500 in total (cap on both base+bonus RPs)

    2) Base RPs = 54000/150 = 360*5 = 1800

        Bonus RPs = 54000/150 = 360*5 = 1800*3 = 5400 - 1800 = 3600, capped to 2500 = 2500 (cap only on Bonus RPs)

        Total RPs = 1800 + 2500 = 4300

    Will really appreciate the help.

Case 2. Cap is on bonus points only

NVM, didn't saw it was answered

Trying to get PM and then convert to Prestige to get extra kick out of the welcome points.

I have a few doubts though, can I immediately apply for Prestige upgrade after getting PM?

Also what about the card fee, I assume I will only get 10,000 PM miles after I pay PM's fee, so once I upgrade I will have to pay full Prestige fee even though I will be upgrading asap?

AFAIK you can call Prestige line and can upgrade without any timeline. However you need to have PM with min 3 Lac limit. Going by recent experience, PM is being issued with limit in range of 1 lac. So you will need to send documents to their head office to limit increase. Getting limit increase is not easy with Citi.

Regarding fee, it will be on pro-rata basis. Prestige fee will levied and PM fee will be reversed.

Does add-on cards also get listed in Cibil? If so what is advantage of an add on card?

My wife has AU Zenith so should I apply for add on or go for a new Zenith application itself?

They get added as Authorised user however in personal experience untill you get your own card or loan, cibil score doesn't show

Any decent way to get money out of the Amazon GC to my bank? Got a GC but I prefer to spend it on another site and need that cash.

If someone has an upcoming purchase > 4K, do consider helping me out.

There are many buying groups of whatsapp where you can sell your vouchers at some discount. You can try them

    Great thread, thanks a lot.

On Citi's website, they just mention 4 miles/100 for both but they don't mention the transfer ratio. Prestige in that case offers better base reward rate for Airmiles even than DCB and Infinia.

I am still not sure how things will change once the transfer is complete to Axis, any idea?

I will probably apply for Prestige in case there is no risk of Axis devaluing it, PM if I don't get prestige and then I can use it as a backup for my DCB.

Citi mention 4 Primermiles for PM and 4 air miles for Prestige, Hence confusion.

No one know for sure how things will be after merger. As per one person having good relationship with axis in my cards group, Axis will offer Reserve to Citi Prestige customers and Atlas to Premiermiles. Edge rewards on Reserve could be converted to edge miles. Axis will try his best to retain Citi customers and Citi have one of the highest per card spends. Take either PM or Prestige as long as you can get it, I don't see any harm

Also, any idea about SC ultimate? 5 RP/150 and says 1RP = 1 RE but I can't find any Krisflyer Transfer option/Ratio. Looks to be a good option for backup card just want to check Airmiles transfer ration compared to OM/Prestige if available.

SC Ultimate is one of the good card have almost no exclusions for earning points however AFAIK SC Ultimate points can be transferred to BA avios only at very poor ratio.

But what happens when they become Axis?

What's the difference between prestige and premiermiles except the fees? Can't find much difference between the two, on website, both of them give 1RP/100 which is equal to 4 miles, so why pay 20k for prestige?

Prestige and Premiermiles are league apart.

They both have different rewards structure. Check my tweet.

Is Citi still offering new cards as they are exiting India and their cards business is going to Axis?

Anyway, I think Atlas is my best option. Citi cards are too expensive as well.

Yes they are still offering. Even they are running additional 4-5k cashback or voucher offers for new card members. Its best time to take Citi Cards.
