Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

Yeah, or there's something else they could've done. Kept EVERYTHING THE SAME.

Here is an expert scientific analysis. We know Graphs don't lie.

The red line represents Sentinel's goodness over time if he was kept the same. His power would go from OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAND to a lot less as players discovered setups and glitches. Hence proving he was only as unbalanced as Iceman in the early days of Marvel 2.

Now see the Orange line, this is the forced drop in the 5th week thanks to Capcom's patch. We've come to the same conclusion (Sent is crap) in a lot less time. However, this also changes the metagame of the game for the worse. Characters that were balanced because of Sent being what he was will now be over the top. Marn god help us.

Sent still has his damage.... so I dont know what everyone is whining about....

Its still fuking easy to kill peeps with sent online ...easy as fuk 800k bnbs all day.... and he still has his Godlk assist...... And yea if sent was gonna end up being crap anyway... Capcom did a good job speeding up the process....

I dont see why people getting upset...I doubt people actually liked Sent as a character....

and even then its not like they had put a lot of effort learning to play him either

yeah why is everyone whining is still beyond me, its not like most sentinel players have an attack set spanning over 4 or at best 5 moves. Stick to it, there are still a lot of ppl to be bashed lol. I get the same ugly feeling as when they nerfed the TIGER KING! Capcom Feckers!

Some changes

1. Sentinel's health reduced. :exoticdance:

2. Akuma's hit stun on Hurricane Kick decreased, removing infinite.

3. Spencer ground glitch removed.

4. Haggar ground glitch removed.

5. Dormammu's Jumping Medium Attack does 70,000 damage, up from 50,000.

6. Reportedly, Spencer's corner loop has been removed.

Also I have noticed Zeros LP lightning attack when done near the ground pushes the opponent too far and hence you cannot combo from it anymore....however when done up close Zero crossovers and comboing is still possible ....

Not very important since the crossover still works... I guess it may have lead to some other bug not yet found by players.... I assume his clone glitch is fixed , not really important since it can just be banned from tournies anyway....

Maybe his mechanical parts are starting to jam and become ineffective and he has no access to lubricants....yea that would explain why Sent sucks.

Heh.

All of you.... are still free to my Camels

fixed

But man am happy they nerfed this wh*re.... hes still very strong char overall , Its stupid when top tier char players just dont admit their char is good.... like that f** mike ross "Honda low tier in SSF4 trololol , you guys just dunno how to beat him"

I wonder how people would have reacted if Sent was in the game with 900k hp and suddenly they buffed him to 1.3m now O-o .... honestly he still has what made him good (assist ,lvl3 XFC, high damage) ....

@sephi : You know i completely get what you and that guy in the vid are saying...

Both MvC2 and SFA3 were extremely popular when they came out(A3 being more popular then even 3S)....SFA3 initially seemed balanced but then got too broken and the community just stopped playing it...however for MvC2 people just kept playing it despite how broken it was...

I think there is a sort of threshold for how unbalanced a fighter can get... Capcom doesnt want everyone quitting on MvC3....

Regular patching via updates keeps the game balanced according to the Level of play of the community.....

This kind of patching is used in other competitive games like an FPS...You play the game , you know your opponent doesnt really have an advantage over you and you are playing on a completely fair ground

In a Fighting game.... You play/represent the CHARACTER...You and your opponent are completely different....You try to prove that your Character, style and Technique is superior to your opponents... This is the kind of drive that keeps stuff like the Arcade scene in japan alive , the competition is extremely fierce .... It is also what makes Fighting games a very unique Competitive game....

I think this is where Capcom decides the future of their Fighters.....keeping a game broken in order to let players explore the system is what probably caused a decline in Fighting games... the Gameplay becomes to overly complicated and normal players cannot keep up with the pros , eventually getting frustrated and leaving the Genre for good....But Regular patching ensures the community moves at a much more steady pace...

This has worked in SF4...A Simple and balanced game which brought back pretty much everyone in to Fighters... SSF4 further tweaked the balance so that people dont just get frustrated of Sagat.... and now they are releasing AE which is intentionally broken ... At this point the community has leveled up to a point where people can learn the game and the advance techniques needed to keep up....The amount of skill a person has right now is much much more than in SF4s time....
