Recommend an Ultrawide!

Hey guys,

I'm thinking of upgrading my workstation monitor from a 24-inch FHD monitor (120 Hz, TFT) to an Ultrawide.  I will be doing some gaming on it, but it'll mostly be used for work.  After doing some research and speaking to some friends, I had narrowed down some key requirements.

  • 3440 x 1440 resolution
  • 21:9 aspect ratio
  • 34 inches (can go 38 but I think that'll be too big).
  • Preferably glossy screen. (Not at all a fan of dim, anti-glare crap).

Now, I had IPS as a requirement in this as well, but for the love of god, I can't find a 120 Hz IPS Ultrawide anywhere.  All I could find was this...

https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B0C61FDPWK/

But it's 60 Hz.  My current 24-inch monitor is 120 Hz and I've enabled 120 Hz on the desktop itself, and I'm afraid I'll find 60 Hz laggy while working :(

All 120 Hz Ultrawide monitors I can find have VA panel, but I'm a bit skeptical about VA panels.  I've never owned an IPS display, and I was really hoping to go for an IPS display this time.  Also, since it'll be purely for work (web browsing, research, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.), I feel IPS display would be the best for this.

Is there an ultrawide I've missed?  Is a 120 Hz IPS Ultrawide going to be released soon?  Should I compromise and go for a VA panel?

What would you guys suggest?  I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for looking. Have a nice day! :)

Edit: I intend to put my 24-inch monitor in portrait mode and go for a dual-monitor setup with the Ultrawide as my main :)
