Microsoft has begun sending out invites to the Western gaming press for an event at Microsoft’s HQ in Redmond, Washington where they plan on unveiling the new Xbox. Then, nineteen days later, they’ll continue showcasing the hardware as well as the console’s launch line up at E3 2013, according to Microsoft’s Major Nelson.
Ever since Sony announced the PlayStation 4 this February, rumours regarding Microsoft’s next console have gone into overdrive. Most of them unfortunately have not been very positive, citing ridiculous requisites such as an always online system that we all know will prove catastrophic. I personally also hope that Microsoft really concentrate on the core games this time round, as opposed to the Kinect heavy approach they’ve adopted over the past few years.
