CarbonCore
Ninja Gaiden Sigma Console: PLAYSTATION®3 Developer: Team Ninja Publisher: Tecmo Director: Yosuke Hayashi Genre: Action Adventure Player(s): Single Player - Online: Leaderboard Release Date: July 3rd, 2007 (US) Format: Blu-ray Controller: SIXAXIS Official Website: Ninja Gaiden Sigma Overview Ninja Gaiden Sigma is not a port, but a remake of the Ninja Gaiden series that's exclusive to the PLAYSTATION®3 console. It will take advantage of the PS3's cell processor, Blu-ray technology, and utilize online functions with the PlayStation®Network. Ninja Gaiden contains no story elements from the original trilogy apart from minor references and recurring characters that play very similar roles to those of the original trilogy. This essentially makes it a reboot of the Ninja Gaiden "universe", although the story could be placed either before or after the events of the original trilogy. However, the game's creator Tomonobu Itagaki commented in an interview that "Since this is a brand-new game, I prefer not to be influenced by or base it on the original story". The story revolves around the Dark Dragon Blade, which was sealed away and protected by warriors of the Dragon Lineage. Their descendants formed the Hayabusa ninja clan, and Ryu Hayabusa was one of them. The blade is stolen, and Ryu must recover it. Ryu Hayabusa and Rachel will both be playable characters. The game will feature new functions, weapons, spells, combos, and three new levels. The game and demo have been confirmed to run natively at 1080p / 60 fps. Tecmo announced the first expansion pack for Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a survival mode where you try to kill as many enemies as you can with limited health. The bonus content is not free; Tecmo has it priced for 315 yen ($3) in Japan. In September the second expansion pack comes out, which adds in a time attack and in October players will be able to try out the survival mode with Rachel and her new costume. The price for the other two expansion packs has not been announced, but they are likely to be sold at a similar price. CarbonCore
Oh yeah baby. Chapter 9 now. One word of advice, just upgrade your Dragon sword and Staff as fast as possible. That'll make it little easier.
CarbonCore
haha, those are the most annoying. But nothing compares to those ninjas that attack you in group. The only weapon effective against them is level 2 Staff.

SchizoidFreud
500,000 Ninja Gaiden Sigmas Out Tecmo announced that Ninga Gaiden Sigma (AkA Ninja Gaiden Shiguma) has shipped 500,000 copies worldwide. Not bad for a remake of Xbox game Ninja Gaiden Black — especially considering the game has been out for a mere two months in Japan and about a month elsewhere. Thank Rachel and her big Blades of the Ouroborus.

MarketTantrik
^^ Yup. Sigma is an updated version of Black exclusive to the PS3 that offers some bonus features like being able to play as Rachel. Its also a little easier than Black. MarketTantrik
NG:Black will make you cry if you arent familiar with the difficulty level of the game. DMC4's human mode is more forgiving and ultimately DMC4 is a true next-gen title while NG:Black is an Xbox 1 title (albeit one of the best looking ever on the previous gen platforms, and still looks close to a next-gen game). If it was my dough, I'd pick DMC4.
