Tyler
For a medieval style world Tamriel is pretty advanced in its thinking. Same sex marriages and all...
DevilsOwn
you don't need to buy a house. you can read about marriage here - http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Marriage as for the missing guy, just go back to dragonsreach some other time. these people keep roaming around so sometimes it's tricky to find them. but you have to move into a house after marriage right? or not? and then what if i marry that riverwood trader's sis and have a house in whiterun. how does she keep working (and thus keep giving me the cut of profits?) spindoctor
Can we marry more than one NPC?? Not mentioned anywhere one at a time. maybe if you killed your spouse you could remarry. not sure about that. wouldn't be any benefit to it though. spindoctor
you can buy a house. or you can join a faction (like the companions) and they will give you a place to sleep and possibly a place to store sh*t. or just explore the world to find abandoned houses. Tyler
Items stored anywhere else except your house and guilds will disappear after a while. Save 5K gold and buy the Whiterun house as soon as you can.

MarketTantrik
Save 5K gold and buy the Whiterun house as soon as you can. I'm desperately trying to do that but that bald numbnut has disappeared.
DevilsOwn
i also couldnt find him for a while, the realised that he is in dragonsreach hall for a very short time like 11 am to 2/3 PM only. have you tried that time? Also, there is this quest that is given by the fem smith in front of warmaiden. where you have to deliver a sword to him. Maybe you can start that quest and then use the quest target to find him? MoonStruckHorrors
My companion is J'Zargo I almost tried to kill him just to shut him up. J'Zargo likes this, J'Zargo likes that. I'm desperately trying to do that but that bald numbnut has disappeared. He's always in the Dragonsreach. Either by Jarl's side or sleeping upstairs.
