Finally my turn :happydance:

My mom has asked me to buy new PC because the last one gave up on us today :(

So I have everything except the PC itself

I rarely might game on it but i still want to get a gaming PC , but it's morally wrong getting her a gaming PC .... I don't care

So I want it to be around 30k , currently planing to get

i5 2400 - 9300

Gigabyte GA-H67M - 5300

AMD 6790 ( don't want to go too heavy duty as I will be gaming very less on it , maybe not at all ) - 8100

1 TB HDD WD Caviar green ( I have heard some bad stuff about WD , any body have problems with them ? ) - 2650

2GB + 4GB GSkill RAM 1333MHz - 755+1500

Sony OEM DVD Drive - 900

Corsair CX400 ( was gonna get VX450 but SMC no haz it ) - 3300

2X 120mm Red LED fans - 800 :fear:

Total - 32605

What say

Guess all the peeps I helped are sleeping :ack:

Also I am rethinking my buying choice , I would rarely game on it , should I save my mother some cash and get a weaker PC or get this for future proofing ?

I don't get the GPU choice.. If you plan to play rarely, if at all, I'm betting

it's just some casual games. So.. why not get a 6450 or better yet, just utilize

the integrated graphics? I've seen a lot of current games being played on it

just for the kicks.

If you get an i5 2405s, you'll get HD3000.

I had a nice little chat with Milo in which we discussed drowning people :ack:

He has convinced me to get a 6870 :( well increase total cost to 35k

Also @Milo lol

Erm.. I'm slower than usual today.. but what's that got to do with anything?

6870 is an awesome suggestion! I initially planned to get that. You can even

play BF3 if you want on that. Already know a guy on youtube who played the

alpha with a 6870. 60 fps. smooth. albeit he did have to turn down some of the eye candy.

I am getting BF3 for PS3 :(

Drowning people was just one part of the conversation :P

I knew 6790 was a weak card but didn't want to spend too much as I wouldn't be gaming a lot , but Milo :ack:

can't suggest on the processor, coz normally peeps here get 2500k/2600k+oc'able mobo, and that's what i would suggest too. 2500k and 2600k both are almost identical in gaming performance, so u can choose 2500k+cheap mobo that fits in ur price range

also, why 6 gb RAM? stick to 4GB RAM

u can also see SeaSonic instead of Corsair

what about the cabinet?

i am on WD since 2008, no probs, brought 1TB WD recently B) (do register ur hdd online once u get it)

Well, if you don't mind getting BF3 for the PC, you can save 2k and

put that into your GPU budget. And IIRC, 6870 is 10k :)

The rest of your specs qualifies for a very decent gaming PC. What

games, if ever, are you likely to play on the PC?

Sacky, if you're seriously not going to game much on the PC, better not invest in any GPU for the moment. Keep that money aside and wait a month or so till you figure out your exact need w.r.t. gaming. Then buy the GPU that suits you best.

Bhai that's the thing , it has to be a one time thing :P

If my mom finds out that the pc works just fine without the GPU she would never get one , it has to be a one time thing !

Then keep the money in a bank account if you've got one.
