I grew up on those, can't not play them like forever ! I still have the AOE1 Gold Edition disk my father bought for me . Thanks yet to get the PS5 on restock though Thanks! That's a really smart suggestion and really tempting too (as XSX might be easier to get than a PS5). Just one thing holding me back from doing that is that I really want to play some of the PS exclusives now and I don't think I can wait more for them (I already waited the entire PS3 and PS4 generation by being in the PC camp) The PS exclusives might even start aging if I wait for another 3 years and I might have lost all interest by then, whereas I think MS might have upped their game and release more awesome exclusives in 2 years time

I absolutely hate loading times and screen, noob question but do physical disks need to be kept in the ps5 the entire time, or is it only one-time installation/activation? Sure but to be honest I think it might be a HUGEEE factor for me (but not a dealbreaker, I'll survive hehe). Like I said I tend to play games in very short bursts, being able to just resume from where I left without going through game menus feels like a godsend. I hope this is not too time consuming ??, I've heard gameloot.in makes this easy (maybe a bit more expensive but that's fine)

WOW! Awesome. There was a library near my school which used to have these. The membership was a bit expensive back in the day (Rs 500/month) but I subscribed it to and went to every single adventure with Tintin and Snowny (multiple times) in a few months. Good ol' days!

Hey folks! My last console was a PS2, and my PC is too old at this point (GTX 760). I've decided to go for a PS5 instead of an XSX despite having Gamepass for 30 months (bought it mainly for Age of Empires 4 releasing next week). My reason being: - XSX is more powerful but I don't have a 120Hz TV, infact I just bought a VU Ultra 4k 60hz TV. - People say the PS5 controller is amazing? - More online players on PS5, but I think I mostly will play single player games - PS5 plus collection includes many decent games I want to play - PS4 generation exclusives I want to play: The last of us 1+2, God of war, RDR2, Spiderman, Any one Uncharted game, Ghost of Tsushima, Days Gone Some regrets I will have - Quick resume + quick switch seems the best thing ever as I play in short bursts - XBOX Gamepass also has tons of games I could play on XSX. Monster Hunter world, all of EA games, Bethesda games, State of Decay 2, etc - People say the PS5 controller gets drift issues in a few months? - Will miss out on FREE day-0 first party games from XBOX - Will save tons of money with gamepass - Microsoft Flight Simulator, I think parents will love playing this - 200GB more storage I do plan to get an XSX after ~1.5-2years if I have saved enough, maybe not who knows. I've mostly made up my mind, but have been out of the gaming scene for many years now so might have missed something. Any thoughts?

Hey folks my VU TV will be delivered today by Amazon and it's listed under open box inspection. I got this messages from Amazon: "Arriving today: Inspect your Amazon order before sharing code XYZ. We can’t take returns for damage later." What all should I be checking for damage on a TV without actually turning it on? I guess the delivery folks won't be doing the installation, so can't really know if the panel is damaged or not at the time of delivery right? ? This is what it says on amazon order page^^, this is surprising to me

Yup I don't think the delivery person would take back the item after I open it, they would just refuse/run away. Just the fact that I have a video recording where the delivery person also acknowledges that the item isn't as intended just gives me a stronger case to fight with Amazon/FK.

Often delivery agents refuse giving the box without the OTP first. I start video recording from that moment onwards, give the OTP, take the package, and unbox it right there with video still on. Sometimes I tempt them with a Rs 100 tip for them to wait till I unbox the entire package and record the video right in front of them.

It's been 3 years without a TV now, so hope my parents are happy with this! It's going to be a huge upgrade from their mobile phone screens

This is understandable. Vijay sales has had my back multiple times so I'm usually willing to pay them a bit extra for the peace of mind.

55" is around 70k at Vijay Sales, seems quite expensive for a decent non-oled VA panel Congrats on the new tv! How much did you purchase the Q60T for? And if you don't mind, I'm interested to know how you reached at finalizing this model Never heard of Kohinoor in Santacruz before I'll keep them in mind! But I usually tend to just prefer Vijay sales as I trust them.

Thank you for the detailed analysis this was really helpful. I'll try to hunt a AU9070 locally. My viewing distance is around ~6ft and I'm pretty sure that 43 inch isn't going to be enough for me. The 50/55" of the AU9070 becomes a bit expensive but from the reviews it looks like it really does have a good panel for a non OLED ?

I don't own a TV right now (3 years ago the Sony TV which lasted ~10 years broke down) I want a new TV for youtube, primevideo, hotstar, news, and ofcourse gaming with PS5/XSX + parents watching Saibaba and news. (I do have a firestick 1080p version). I don't have a budget in mind, but don't want to spend a lot as I'm going from NO TV to a 4k TV, so it's a huge leap anyways I found these good models online: * 55inch "Vu 4k Ultra" - 39k * 55inch and "Vu 4k Cinema" - 47k * 43inch Samsung 4k Crystal - 38k * 43inch LG 7500P - 37k * Samsung AU9070 and samsung FRAME tv - expensive but are they worth it? Vu looks like it has somewhat better service than other cheap brands. I'm more inclined to go for the Ultra as it's cheaper and 55inch at the price of Samsung/LG 43inch. But I couldn't find much info about latency / input lag on Vu TV's if I use it with PS5/XSX. Any thoughts/advice on what would be your pick?

Been using SSD since years, if loading times are such a major issue then you are right I don't think I can go back to waiting minutes for something to load ? It looks like PS5 digital edition seems like a good value at 40k. Though I would like to have the physical edition though because of the nostalgia of owning discs Really? 90% after a year, after warranty is over? Even the digital edition?
