PlayStation vs Xbox vs Nintendo thread
Lulz The very reason why M$ dropped exclusivity on all of their owned content is because the hardware was not selling for the longest time. Not the other way around as you & many like you are portraying now all of a sudden. This latest spin is quite funny indeed but looking back at history it was ought to come. Keep spinning always Keep smiling always I don’t have the taste to argue anymore as it’s endless & pointless…. Xbox is no longer a direct competitor to Playstation or Nintendo. It’s over for them in that regard….. The War is over as far as reality is concerned. -

MS used to practice some anti consumer tactics during 360 days like keeping games as timed exclusive or keeping CoD maps as timed exclusive both were anti consumer moves. MS started it and Sony continued it during PS4 gen and still doing it. After disastrous Xbox one launch, MS stopped doing all of that nonsense and became pro consumer. Market reality forced them to take pro consumer steps and as a consumer im happy thanks to GamePass but as a Xbox fan i dont like that MS completely giving up on console market and becoming a multiplatform publisher. We want some good old console war dammit. -

Yeah but they always said we will keep those games multiplatform, even before acquisition they said games will remain multiplatform. Gamers on every platforms are still getting same games. Nothing changed for consumers. I mean we getting those games on gamepass now. So acquisition is actually a pro consumer move as PC and Xbox users who using gamepass can play Call of duty without spending 100$, so its actually pro consumer move not anti consumer. And people should not forget that both Activision and Bethesda were intersted in selling their company. MS didn't force them to sell their company. Bethesda was going through financial crisis and they were in talks for buyout. Activision case was different, Bobby and other top leadership wanted to sell company for some other reasons. MS was given option and they took it. It was not hostile acquisition. You can only call it anti consumer if they did hostile takeover and kept those games exclusives. Ubisoft is under extreme financial crisis, someone will buy them too. I bet Tencent or some other company will buy them. I will be curious if any PS fan will call that move "anti consumer". These so called anti consumer nonsense started by PS fans without any credible argument. They were assuming games will become exclusive or hurt PS, nothing like that happened. There's not a single thing about Xbox which is anti consumer now. Xbox moves are anti fans but not anti consumer lol. Xbox moves pisses off fans but normal consumer is not complaining. Now charging for cloud saves is anti consumer practice by Sony but everyone is quiet on that issue lol. -

There is a distinction between acquiring studios and full fledged publishers. -

Thats your personal take and its false. Xbox Fans hate them for going multiplatform and not competing in console market. No xbox fan had any problem with them buying studios to strengthen gamepass library. They were fully supporting MS acquisitions. They hate that leadership gave up so easily and didn't double down on exclusivity aspect after acquiring studios. Only SonFans like yourself and some biased media disliked MS for buying publishers like Bethesda and Activision and only Sony fans prop up these so called anti consumer theories which doesnt exists. Acquired studios games are everywhere and Gamepass is extremely consumer friendly service.
