Elden Ring eliminates all the clutter and instead guides you with visual clues that are part of game world. Why is it hard to understand for Dev's, I dunno. This sort of design must have taken lot more effort and multi department collaboration compared to say, writing 5000 lines of quest or putting " ? " all over the map.

Personally was hoping for Batman :Arkham Knight level of carnage. Batman just gives up after the night Scarecrow puts him through in the game.

I loved it but can understand why someone wouldn't like it. This trailer gives a pretty good approximation of how entire movie is. Music, colour palette carries entire movie. Only issue is towards end there was pacing issue and director didn't know how to end it. Still a special movie.

If you play on PC, maybe your monitor has freesync? Those are common and not expensive.

Great, congrats!! For Halo, story is complicated and goes beyond games. Play as many as time allows. There are no bad Halo games IMO. If you wanna jump on Infinite that's fine too, just watch story recap on YouTube. Still, playing previous games would offer better experience. Then jump into multiplayer of Infinite, that's just superb. For Gears, story isn't very complicated. You could jump straight to Gears 5 would also be fine. It has a very cool recap video that covers everything. Gears 5 imo is best one, especially it's online part.

Play on VRR enabled display. Problem solved. I don't have VRR but am not noticing frame rate cause am absorbed in game. Outside some technical issues aka frame rate and pop in, game is feature complete. I would even call it polished, perfect like you expect from big budget Japanese games.

Dying Light 2 > HFW + Elden Ring combined.

Damn, am hearing VRR makes performance mode pretty smooth. Am tempted to backpack my Series S and test ride some displays. GOTG also has unlocked frame rate option.

Don't use PS5 or OLED. Am talking about xbox on 144 hz LG ultragear monitor. Wierd that ps5 leaves it upto game. On xbox this is system wide setting that benefits every game. If you don't play on 120 fps, you still get benefits of low latency.

You can switch between 60 and 120 hz output in console settings. 120 hz panels are said to have lower latency than 60 hz panels. DF was trying to make a point in favour of 120 hz panels even if you don't play on 120 hz. But you have to switch it from console settings to 120 hz have effect.
