AngerSmash
Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Manchester United are in talks to sign Brazil international Lucas Moura from Sao Paulo. The likes of Real Madrid and Inter Milan have been linked with the 19-year-old midfielder, but United have moved into pole position in recent weeks. Reports have claimed a deal worth around £26million had been agreed, but Ferguson insists this is not the case. But for the first time he has confirmed he wants to sign the youngster, who has 11 caps for Brazil to his name. "We haven't reached an agreement," said Ferguson from China, where United are on the latest leg of their pre-season tour. "We've shown interest. Until such time we reach an agreement we can't say he's ours."

dharmin
United need to sign Lucas before august 1 cos after that Lucas will get 30% of his transfer fee and that will mean Sao paulo will demand even more cash
The Wolfy among us
Tim Cahill to join New York Bulls Bad decision IMO. He had a couple of years left... and if he had announced the decision to leave, i'm sure another premiership team wouldv'e picked him up. ScrewyAurum
Internacional president Giovanni Luigi has confirmed playmaker Oscar's potential move to Chelsea is in a "very advanced" stage. Oscar, 20, is currently in England with Brazil's Olympic team preparing for the London 2012 Games. The midfielder has been linked to a £25 million move to Stamford Bridge throughout the summer, and late last week confirmed he has already undergone a medical. Reports in Oscar's homeland claim a deal will be finalised this Friday, and Internacional's chief confirmed the transfer is on the verge of completion, with just one hurdle still to be overcome. "The situation is very advanced, but not finalised yet," Luigi told Terra. "Oscar has to get his work permit. He needs to have a certain amount of caps to play in England, but I don't believe that will be a problem." Luigi did not confirm the £25 million price tag but did admit Oscar's former club Sao Paulo would receive a percentage of the transfer fee. "I won't confirm the value, but I can guarantee it wasn't in pounds. No cross-border negotiation is made in pounds - it's either Euros or dollars," Luigi said. "I have also reached an agreement with Sao Paulo over their part. It's Chelsea that will pay that, not Internacional." Oscar and his Brazil team-mates will open their Olympic campaign in Cardiff on Thursday evening when they take on Egypt.
rad2689
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7929693/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Lucas Moura's agent Wagner Ribeiro says any move to Manchester United is off as they will not up their bid for the Brazilian ace. United have lodged an offer for the Sao Paulo midfielder, currently in England with Brazil's Olympic squad. But with Sao Paulo wanting around £30million, it appears their asking price could be too high. Ribeiro, one of the leading agents in South America, does not think Moura will be moving anywhere this summer after United's bid was rejected. "They have reached their limit," Ribeiro told UOL. "Lucas Moura won't leave. He is happy at Sao Paulo. We have to forget this subject. There is no possibility he leaves now. "Manchester United made an offer, which was rejected and they won't make another one as they have reached their limit."
