  1. Cool. I need to check the game to see my background. Those names were confusing I am hearing time is a currency in the game and you spend it while investigating leads. Wouldn't be possible to investigate everything. Dev's also mentioned whether you caught culprit will be open to interpretation. Curious to see how that plays out.
  2. Agree, payback from story is higher in games compared to same level of story in shows/movies. Even a simple well made twist can work wonders in games.
  3. I am tempted to tell everyone I support Martin Luther and Church needs to modernise. Maybe in future playthrough.
  4. Never watching that. Come on bro
  5. I am fine with character development. I have issue with length of the section. As another mod said, let's not discuss this here. People are too sensetive even if there is no spoiler here. Don't have a PS5. You didn't knew that? Emotional stories /= good stories in my books. Good TV shows are far above and beyond these tactics of storytelling. People praise TLOU story as best in gaming. That has a family member die in your arms. Don't remember any good recent movie or show use that as pivot for entire plot. Last time I remember seeing something like that is in 1970s in Amitabh Bachchan movies. It's so old people have forgotten about it, and it's started to feel new again.
  6. Played Pentiment for 3 hrs. Writing in game is stellar. It's set in 16th century Europe and it captures culture and traditions beautifully. Also talking to every character I can find. Real role playing possibilities here, you can behave in any way you want. Works perfectly on Series S.
  7. You need a good connection with characters. Playing first part is a must imo. Recap won't do it justice.
  8. Makes no sense. FH5 won highest no of awards at show by a single game. https://www.sportskeeda.com/esports/forza-horizon-5-it-takes-two-wins-awards-the-game-awards-2021 Bots are perhaps confusing it with Halo Infinite which was outside nomination window. But that won awards that matters, People's choice. So that's cool too.
  9. I didn't judged Stray. Pretty sure it's fine game for target audience. I am questioning why it should be nominated for GOTY? I haven't received any answer yet. In fact no one has mentioned why anyone should consider even playing it once, let alone be a GOTY candidate.
  10. Not my cup of tea. But that 64 doesn't stop me. Maybe some day if I am in mood I will give it a shot.
  11. I don't have anything against 60 meta games but I don't remember any I might've played recently.
  12. From the makers of Fallout New Vegas and Grounded. That alone makes it worth playing.
  13. I see videos of games before playing them. Stray doesn't make the cut. I don't tolerate OK, breezy games that you just play while being half asleep. If you think it's spectacular lemme know. I might be wrong about it. I played Plague Tale based on recommendation from here, it turned out worth playing.
  14. Don't need to. QTE for platforming says it all. Also I need to ask, have you been following indie games. Top games were released this year.
  15. Infinite has zero walking sections. It's gameplay loop carries it. Dunno what you are trying to say here. It won readers choice award basically everywhere. I am not the only one who sees that. They stumbled in giving updates qol improvements, but that's how ms operates these days. It will be redeemed eventually like all their games.
  16. Definitely paid for. Like seriously, Stray? Only redeeming quality is motion captured cat. Either paid or catering to casuals who they expect to watch show in droves. Tons of better indie releases over the year.
  17. Cool. Being a long time Obsidian fan, back from when they were Black Isle Studios I will go with this. Somerville looks interesting as well.
  18. Damn 10/10 from ign, but 6/10 from gamepot? Divisive game ? Either way gonna jump in tonight. Preloaded.
  19. All this has been rebutted in this video already. Series S has no separate developer kit. Series x has it inbuilt, they are so similar.
  20. I changed the context. No spoilers. Funny thing is, when you will "experience" that section, you will realise who is getting burned. How long it is, I started laughing towards the end. Totally justifies calling out developers on BS.
  21. High metascore was expected. It does everything critic's prefer. Doesn't mean I have to like it as well. Slow walking sections are a deal breaker for me. Dropped Metal Gear Solid 5 because of its terrible start. Don't take my opinion. Just wait for it to come. I have no concern regarding spoilers. I click freely on them. Don't care for stories that are not as good as best tv shows. Mostly judge games on gameplay loop and moment to moment character interaction, dialogue, animation etc.
  22. I am hearing about a ton of walking sections in the game. Not cool. Especially a lengthy section where you pick flowers and feed a water buffalo (changed context, not spoiler). Watched on YouTube. In a God of War game. They are trying to copy Naughty Dog and failing.
  23. Plague Tale handily outdoes Ragnorok. Didn't expected this.

    Control

Play it like a completionist. Best bosses in game are optional. Not a very long game. Should be able to see most stuff in 30 hrs or so. Story is video gamey, serviceable. It's an interesting premise but i have not done much research on lore so can't say.
