Holy hell @ the 360. Half a million. In the middle of the year. Thats insane.

SotD isnt a surprise though. It was always going to bomb.

Edit sh*t DNF @ 2. How did that happen?

Surprising month indeed.

LOL @ The PSN downtime excuse. It was down in April and in May. And the results are for June. And its hardly a surprise. 360 has been outselling the PS3 since forever in the US.

Sales are high because there were a lot of promotions going around in June.

Yeah cause you know, without the outage they were doing super terrific awesome in the US.

Lets be honest here. The outage hasnt had much of a long lasting effect on sales at all as far as the PS3 is concerned. June 2010 - 300k. June 2011 - 280k. Slight drop but its hardly a big deal. So please stop wringing out that excuse. It doesnt hold water.

Edit Even better

May 2010 PS3 - 150k

May 2011 PS3 (when the outage and the outcry was at its peak) - 180k.

So yeah. No water at all.

LOL ...no it is not an excuse ...it is a fact...you dont see sales impact immediately ....from abt april to mid may ....there was lot of confusion going on... abt when psn will be back and what exactly is happening...and not denying that xbox almost always sold better in USA but so high sales were definitely coz of psn users switching.....Sony even admitted they lost some percentage of their psn users at E3 press conference...this impact will go on and sony will need to some catching up....which thanks to games like uncharted 3 should make it easy....

Alright man. Numbers and logic clearly aint gonna convince you. Believe what you gotta to make yourself feel better.

there lot of trade ins man..ps3 for xbox in retails....nobody says u are wrong abt xbox sales being high always ...it is just that u dont even want to accept that it was helped a little by the psn outrage....people in USA are like that only they dont wait much......according to sony they lost abt 1/5 of their total PSN users....that is abt few millions easily.....even if 10% out of them trade in...it will contribute to high sales figure of xbox...

You can't ignore the outage excuses , it's after that the PSN lost it's credibility , it will affect them for months , maybe whole year

PSN downtime would have hardly made a difference in the US .

Downtime would have played credible role in Asia and EU .

you might want to take that back....Uncharted 3 is realising this nov...

LoL no .

Uncharted 3 will do nothing when Gears 3 and Halo Anniversary is releasing .

U dont know the dumb Americans .

MS will surely do a price cut for Xbox 360 and Kinect by the holiday season

PS3 was nvr known for it's online capabilities .

But XBL did .

Plus ppl in US have multiple consoles , so trade ins reported were very few .

Actually it was u who posted the articles abt it

And losing 10% active customers doesnt make such a difference .

Yeah when considered wrt income , PSN might have hit hard coz ppl buying most are from Sanyukt Rajya of Amreeka

But nevertheless sales of PS3 wont get affected by it .

PS3 sales were lower than Xbox 360 since start except some months in 2009 in Sanyukt Rajya of Amreeka

It wasnt PS3 whose sales were lower but it was Xbox 360 whose sales were higher than normal mostly coz of Kinect .

The core games for Kinect worked it seems .

Still ppl will keep on laughing on MS E3 PC

gears will release on sept.

Doesnt makes much difference .

Last year PS3 sold more than Xbox 360 for 10 months .

But Xbox 360 sold so much in last 2 months ( Nov and Dec ) that it passed overall PS3 sales of that year

There are many other games too , I was just pointing out to exclusives .

Forza 4

Halo Anniversary (Ppl are alrdy getting Orgasms )

Star Wars Kinect

Gunstringer

Rise of Nightmares
