I am sure whether you liked it or hated it, you still might find lot of things Unexplained. I am trying to explain some of the general doubts we may have about the story or particular things . The questions are answered here with help of Documents(journals in game), Comic Book( The Beginning), The art of Survival Book and also other informations collected onnet and also on my understanding. I am going to answer just general doubts that may have come across your mind. 1. How is Lara Croft able to climb Heights ,be so comfortable with Bows and Arrows and upgrade items so professionally?? Ans. Lara Croft’s Father was a very well Known archaeologist and he and Roth(a Ex- Royal Marine) had been on lot of adventures together. Rothhad promised Lara’s father to take care of her.Under Roth Lara gets to learnlot of things from rock climbing to mountaintrekking to navigation (with help of stars) and make best use of availableresources in isolated places. She was already well trained and skilled at these things. Itis only when her survivial is at stake …her full potential is realized. 2. How is Mathias able to control the Solaris and make them believe he is their option to survive?? Ans. Mathias was a teacher and he with his team got shipwrecked in this island. Over the course of time Mathias learned lot ofthings about the island and discovered the secret bunkers of the military and understandthe dark powers of the island . He manage to understand the Island’sweather and even be able to predict it.So when the other surviors got shipwrecked in that island. Mathias was able to convince them that he is servingHimiko the ruler of the island and hasclose connection with her and by accurately predicting the weather and alsohelping them to survive by using the resources of the island. Without Mathias Survivors knew that terrible things wouldhappen and so they started believing in him and having experienced the darknessof the island themselves . They knew it is best to follow Mathias. 3. Why is island most places so well fortified and survivors so well armed all the time inspite of Mathias laid down codes for them of no killing each other until ordered ?? Ans. These survivors had come in contact with the ONI and seen their brutality and power. Fearing them and Mathias’s own careful plan to give them some work so that their minds are always occupied while heuncovers the way to get off this island . They fortified the places they lived and alsoarmed themselves well to face ONI in case they attack. 4. Why was there no full Fledge rescue operation to save the islanders by The Government of the Japan??(as japan had army base there) Ans. During her adventure…Lara Croft comes across a place where she discovers lot of information removed and scratched as if someone did not wanted these secrets of the island to bediscovered. In the game it is clear that Japanese army did come to study the weather controlled phenomena in the islandand it could have won the war for them.But before they could figure it out .They were all Killed by one. That explains why Japanese Government would not want to risk the secret to come out in open. If there is any other Doubts ..let me know. Will try toclear it. I heard the ghost voice and said, "oh it the evil queenshes keeping everyone on the island" and then hours later they keep acting like it's some big surprise. I heard the ghost voice and said, "oh it the evil queenshes keeping everyone on the island" and then hours later they keep acting like it's some big surprise. You cannot expect game or movies to just immediately come to conclusion after some event....and beside see it was only Lara that saw that plane crash not everyone ...so they will act surprised and hard to believe when she tells about it to others. Ok. and Why were the Russians on that island? What was their end goal? Plus Why was Sam an ancestor of Himiko? I mean how did she know it? They were survivors just like the rest of the scavengers who were "adopted" by whats-his-name (the bad guy, already forgot his name ). I think in the beginning, when they were filming, Sam said that they are looking for Himiko "which is an ancestor of yours truly" and then immediately she points the camera to herself.
