KnackChap
Shane aka Mangod in the latest 1UP Show: "Big piece of Advent Children info in 2 weeks that we talked about yesterday, got a little bit more info from SE about their showing in 2 weeks, I don't know much. But this piece of news will swing the pendulum back to the PS3 after the FF XIII 360 announcment this week, not for good or ill." WTF?

jackhammer06
New Final Fantasy Exclusive For PS3? The latest 1UP E3 wrap-up podcast (which runs for a more-than-lengthy 3 hours) has divulged some information on the possibility of a new PlayStation 3 exclusive from Square Enix. Towards the end of the podcast, Shane states that he has been speaking to representatives from Square Enix, who have told him that "Final Fantasy XIII on 360 announcement swung the ball towards Microsoft. At Square Enix's Japan event in 2 weeks, they will swing the ball back towards Sony". The reason Shane was questioning the event, was due to plans for large announcements regarding the Blu-ray release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Square could possibly be announcing a remake of Final Fantasy VII for PS3, a Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children game for PS3, Final Fantasy Versus XIII on PS3, or another brand new title. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LINK BELIEVE!! CarbonCore
I'd would rather love to see this game remade (with original score) for PS3 than FF7. Most of the original team is dispersed anyways. And look at all the FF7 sequels and spinoffs, SE simply doesn't know what made FF7 so great, they'll just screw it up with a remake.
KnackChap
I'd would rather love to see this game remade (with original score) this. one of the best game OST money can buy. CarbonCore
Don't care whoever makes it, just lost interest in the FF franchise. I hope they leave this classic alone and just keep milking DS remakes while they can.

KnackChap
http://playstationlifestyle.net/2008/07/22...-info/#more-971 I can now reveal exclusive inside info about Final Fantasy… VII! Final Fantasy VII will be getting a “new” version of the classic game from the massive franchise and it will be exclusive (for now at least) to the PLAYSTATION 3. It is unclear whether a new version will be a simple remake or an extension to the original like Crisis Core, and if it will be a Blu-ray release, or on the PSN. Something else which won’t be exclusive is the original FF7 which will be coming to the PlayStation Network by the end of the year. Both of this info will be officially announced at either Square Enix’s August conference in Japan, or the Tokyo Game Show. PSLS lists all of our inside info under rumor until it becomes official. IshmaelIsBack
A continuously revived rumor has been sparked to life once again, with new statements and speculation coming in from all over the net. This megaton rumor regards a potential remake of Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation 3. To begin, we'll start with the 1up.com podcast interview with Square Enix's Shinji Hashimoto where he revealed that a major announcement will be made at the DKΣ3713 Square Enix Event on August 2nd. "You can look forward to the upcoming invite-only fan event DKS3713 , where we'll have a major announcement that will shock the fans in attendance," said Hashimoto. In addition, 1up's Shane Bettenhausen stated, "[The] Final Fantasy XIII on 360 announcement swung the ball towards Microsoft. At Square Enix's Japan event in two weeks, they will swing the ball back towards Sony." Image Now you could say this doesn't have anything to do with Final Fantasy VII, but if you were to think of one title that would 'swing' favor back to the PlayStation 3 with a simple announcement, what comes to mind? Perhaps what have fans been dying for ever since the tech demo showcase at E3 2005? Final Fantasy VII. The last incoming rumor comes from Playstationlifestyle.net. According to their inside source, not only will Final Fantasy VII (either a remake or related spin-off like Crisis Core) be revealed as a PlayStation 3 exclusive at Square Enix's DKΣ3713 event, but the classic PS1 original will be distributed through both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade at the end of the year. After Square Enix's surprising announcement of Final Fantasy XIII going multiplatform, revealing a Final Fantasy VII title for the PS3 would definitely put love back in the hearts of the PS3-owning Square Enix fans. We're not too convinced by the validity of PlayStation Lifestyle's information however, but at the very least it's a topic to speculate on. Until the DKΣ3713 event is upon us though, take all of this as purely rumor and speculation. That is, don't fall prey to the hype train that is sure to follow this story. If it's not destined to happen, it won't, and you shouldn't be dissappointed about that. If it is however, you should hear official confirmation in about two weeks time. Stay tuned. CarbonCore
The current Arcade limit is 350mb. They'll have raise it for FF7 in such a way that they don't alienate memory card users.
