just started playing it (bioshock creeps me out!) - found it as hectic as the older COD games, but somehow it feels like 'been there, done that'. the graphics are better (but not at par with GoW/Bioshock/Halo3), but there are clipping issues and frame rate stutters. Played a couple of multiplayer matches, but got my a*s kicked around pretty badly. Not something i'd buy today, even at a discounted price.

If you love CoD2 for its multiplayer, I say, that's nothing. You'll doubly love CoD3 for its Multi Player. Its fast, No lag (even with a 400ms ping latency). It supports upto 24 players and therefore there is a lot of action. Both the old CoD2 multiplayer modes as well as a few more new modes are available and they are awesome. Use of vehicles (including tanks!) makes it a lot of fun. A lot of things are destructible. You could plant mines. Unlike CoD2, here you get to choose a 'kit' (to be a rifleman, light assault, heavy assault, cover, medic, etc.,.) and each 'kit' has its own set of weapons. So unlike in CoD2, you can't directly choose the weapon. What weapon you get depends on what 'kit' you choose to pick up.

CoD2 multiplayer lovers, this is a must have for you :wallbash:

Activision suing Call of Duty pirates

Activision has carried out lawsuits against six US videogame pirates since 2007, according to GamesPolitics, further revealing that Call of Duty features heavily among the pirated games.

The biggest of the cases was made against Shawn Guse, who agreed to pay out USD 100,000 to settle the case. Guse was accused of reproducing and distributing copies of Call of Duty 3 for the Wii and Xbox 360. Chris Hyman also agreed to pay Activision USD 25,000 to settle a case over CoD3 for the Wii and Tony Hawk's Project 8 for the Xbox 360.

George Laflin agreed to pay USD 100,000, Maryanne Leach agreed to pay USD 1000, Kenneth Madden paid USD 100,000 and finally a case againse James Strickland is currently active.

This news comes after five UK publishers sent out letters to 25,000 suspected file-sharers demanding an immediate payment of GBP 300 or face legal action.

While some publishers are actively chasing file-sharers, some, like Electronic Arts' Peter Moore, believe that "trying to punish your consumer" is a bad idea and there are "better ways" to dealing with the problem of piracy.
