I have been interested in the playstation set of consoles ever since playing on my brother's borrowed PS1 for a few days and much more notably when my friend took me to play SmackDown pain with him and that could be another whole and longer story on its own which ultimately ended with me getting the PS2 as my first playstation console and regrettably selling it off later, having apparently moved on to the psp, PS3 and then the 4 (thank the god of war, Vita didn't have any exclusive to him) Nearly a decade later, it was this year that I got lucky with not just the silver PS2 (special for me as it was this colour I had) but both the previous generations at a very friendly price. You are in alien world surviving in extreme cold weather, you are a space pirate. You have a suit and weapons which is powered by a mineral called Akrid and available only in aliens. Even big mechs are powered with it. Some corporations want that mineral for wrong purposes. You are always in the need of akrid or else you die which makes the gameplay more tense. Shooting and using mechs was fun.

How would steam version be any different? It's just using steam launcher to launch Rockstar launcher.

Code Veronica is a Dreamcast game that was released on a console jump between the PS1 and PS2. I think it released even before the PS2 was out

Probably in a decade, because that's how long it'll take for RE4 gameplay to feel dated and obsolete. Even then I'm not sure.
