Like it or not no one in wrestling could replicate the popularity of Hogan,Austin & The Rock. These three are literally the epitome of pro wrestling & bringing in Trump in his comparison!! I have literally watched just 2-3 Dwayne Johnson movies & that too mostly in the mid 2000’s. This notion that he is pulling mainstream media & that’s why his movie fans are the only ones who are raising more viewers is the wrong notion (not gonna call you an idiot on your face,not my thing). It’s THE MILLIONS & THE MILLIONS of the attitude era fans who left watching long time ago who come back each time The Rock or Austin make an appearance. Austin ain’t no movie or mainstream star…..wtf his return to ring last year was a big attraction?!? Calling the old wrestling fans who don’t watch anymore a “mainstream movie media audience” is just pathetic….(but still not idiotic). It takes years to build a character, he became the final boss in a matter of weeks. Thats greatness for you.
