I’m just outlining the query as to why anyone would make such a AAA experience Free2Play. The intent is to make a bang & catch everyone’s attention & then start monetising future content. The way BigBoss is excited about the product I’m sure he will be inclined to play more at a later date. Hence making their model a success. Genshin Impact,Warframe & many others did the same & there is no limit to the revenue they have generated. PuBG,Destiny & Overwatch also does the same but they did it in reverse. Going on sale on release & then later turning it into a F2P.

Reasing about it, the amount of content they already have for free is more than enough for a full priced AAA game. Doesn't matter much if they start charging for future dlcs and expansions.

They are just getting you addicted to the world right now. Soon they will start charging for quests & tiers.
