We passed some time ago but went back in rather than zero day patch.

I am hoping for a physical PC version as well as Steam, it is up to the publisher as to whether that happens.

Really want the physical version of DBC 14 to happen in India.

*fingers crossed*

I asked about Legacy Mode. He's (the rep from the publisher, not from the dev team) been playing the game for 18 days and he's never heard of Legacy Mode.

There's no co-op offline or online. Just 1v1 both online and offline.

This is great news. Any reason for change of heart on non-Aus/Eng career?

I was always going to do it, just wasn't ready to let it be known. There are a couple of other things we will keep as surprises for the patch.

Hi Ross. Is this going to be one disc or two disc version for xbox ? One of my friends coming over from aus in april . If no physical release here, will look at that option

Definitely one disk for Xbox.

Nice stuff Sam

Can tell us what stadiums are there in the game..

Also how easy / hard is it to find gaps ?

SCG is the only international licensed stadium. There were 12 or 13 stadia in all and I think the only Indian one was called Delhi Park or something.

Finding gaps was quite hard because I was still coming to grips with the controls. There's no pitch marker so you have to gauge the bowler's line and length, then select your foot placement with the left stick and shot selection with the right, and then the timing. And you have to do this within a split second in the case of pace bowling, which is not easy, at least in the beginning. On top of that, there's no mini-map showing you the field placements, so you actually have to look around in first person before the ball is bowled to find out where the gaps are.

That said, the HES rep isn't a gamer but he's been playing the game for a few days and he's pretty good at it, so I think it's just a matter of getting used to the controls.

Hey Sam, did you get to play as a wicketkeeper in career mode??? Damn....I forgot to tell you in advance to lookout for this feature, we have no info in it at the moment :(!

I didn't. I saw the option, but I started the bowling all-rounder career since I wanted to try both batting and bowling.

How was the AI bowling ? Was the AI bowling to the field ? Or just random deliveries ?

What happens if you misjudge the length of the ball and play backfoot instead of frontfoot and vice versa ?

Also based on your overall comments i assume you liked the game ?

Did you try any IPL teams ?

AI bowling was pretty good (got me to knick a couple) and I was only playing on the third difficulty level out of five (Pro I think). I don't remember if it was to the field but the rest of my wickets were caught at the boundary so I'm guessing the AI got me to hit to where the fielders were. Also saw the reverse sweep and Dilscoop, but I didn't manage to pull them off myself.

Yeah, judging the length and picking between front and back foot I think is just as important as the shot selection, if not more. You can probably manage to connect with a short ball on the front foot if you time it right, but stay back on a full length delivery and most probably you'll be in trouble. If you're lucky you'll miss the ball entirely and it'll go through safely to the keeper. Other times you'll miscue/mistime your shot to a fielder or get caught LBW.

I liked the game overall because it looks like it'll offer something that IMO no other cricket has before - longevity. I think there's a lot of replay value. Even if you manage to hit three sixes off consecutive balls, each of them will be completely different because with the analog stick controls, foot placement, shot selection and timing is incredibly hard to replicate.

I started my new career by replacing one of the Aussie domestic teams with Mumbai Indians which was downloaded from BAC. IIRC it had all the MI players from last season.

Ok, so the publisher has told me to hold off on publishing a preview till the UK press has had a chance to check out the game, and while answering questions here isn't the same as publishing a preview, I think I'll hold off on talking about it any further until TruBlu gives the go-ahead.

Tell them that you'll hold off if they provide you some new videos to show off in your preview. ;)
