As a tip for late game, elemental resistances and crowd control will matter a lot. Try and make sure you can boost your own resistances against various types of elemental damage. More importantly, make sure you have some ability to reduce enemy resistances otherwise you will come across fights you cannot win. It goes without saying that you should have the ability to do damage with all elements. Crowd control such as stuns, knockdowns, charming etc. help a lot too. As do minions who can tank damage while you stand safe at a distance.

As an example, the other day Tyler and I fought a boss who had ~12000hp and it took us about 45 minutes to kill him. This was because one person's turn was always spent on casting lightning resistance or the boss would have obliterated our party in 5 minutes. And then he had really high elemental resistances which we could only lower for short periods of time.

Screen space reflection. Object reflections are 'better' because they are more realistic. You can safely turn this off if you need performance because it's a pretty subtle effect.

I left it on

@Spin - thanks for the tips.

Yea, those points can save you a headache later on. Came across a fight with an enemy named the source tainted knight. We fought him for about 20 minutes and we couldn't get his hp to lower than 80% before he would regen back up to 100%. Turns out he had 300+ elemental resists and our damage was actually healing him somehow.

Another tip... at least one of your characters should have Loremaster +5 by endgame. That way you can hover your mouse over an enemy and hold down control to see his hp, resistances, action points etc.

Make sure he is your crafter/blacksmith too. And, don't spend +5 skill points on loremaster. Look for ring and neck with loremaster skill and get +1 from materialistic trait.

This is most easily gained through talking to the beggar east of Esmeralda's house during the Talking Statues quest and then choosing the materialistic option during the inter character dialogue that follows.

Also, get leadership to rank 6.

Willpower +1
Body Building +1
Initiative +10
Damage +15%
Chance to hit +10%
Critical Chance +2%
Immune to Fear
Armour +10%

Boss name pls?

At times its good to use melee dmg instead of elements to down bosses like these. Teleportation skill is really good for a mage as crushing melee dmg.

This is an optional endgame boss fight. As in, last quest before heading in for the final showdown.

You probably don't want to know this. I know I wouldn't...

Knowing its an endgame boss was good enuf for me, I m still at midgame.

Playing with a lone wolf mage and a mage n melee.

is this game having any relation to Divinity saga? why did Larian Studios need crowdfunding when they have already developed so many games ?

I played Divinity II Dragon knight but got bored after a couple of hours!! did anyone here enjoy it?

what about Divinity Dragon Commander ? have anyone liked it? mix of rts and rpg .........seen it on steam

Original Sin is prequel to Divine Divinity.

It's not fully built with Kickstarter money. Larian aimed to secure additional funds to expand the content of the game and the reactivity of the game world, so they approached crowdfunding.

All games in Divinity series are good.

Divinity: Original Sin - The Bear and The Burglar

The Bear and the Burglar adds 2 new optional characters to your party: the rogue Wolgraff and the ranger Bairdotr. Uncover the mysteries of their pasts and determine their futures!
Wolgraff
*Wolgraff gives you a knowing look. He seems to think the mayor is a few arrows short of a quiver.*
Dark Sourcery deprived Wolgraff of his voice when he was but a kid, and with it his dream of becoming a Source Hunter. Refused by the Order, he grew up to become a rogue, stealing from the rich and giving to... just himself actually. His is a world of silence, but if need be he lets his dagger do the talking for him.
Bairdotr
"You seem strong as mother, though your chest is not quite so hairy. Your sword may come in handy when we find who I seek." Armed with her bow on her back and her claws at the ready, Bairdotr refuses to fail: She must navigate your world-- a world of wonder and mysteries both fantastic and terrible-- if she's to save Homeforest. The druid of the forest has been kidnapped, and Bairdotr must follow a scant trail of clues if she's to bring him back-- clues that take her to the very heart of Rivellon's Source conspiracy.
