Mel81x
Castlevania : Lords of Shadow Developer:Mercury Steam Publisher:Konami Genre:Action Players:1 Platform:PS3, 360 Realease:, 2010 IGN Excerpt At the 2008 German Games Convention Konami showed a teaser trailer for a new game called Lords of Shadow. Although it wasn't attached to the Castlevania name it did star a whip-wielding hero. Whether or not the game was originally conceived as a Castlevania game, it is now. Today at Konami's E3 2009 press conference Hideo Kojima (creator of Metal Gear) announced he is developing Castlevania: Lords of Shadows. A new trailer was shown, heavy with fantasy action and narration that sounded like Patrick Stewart. Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter's Lucius Malfoy) was revealed to be a cast member. The main character is named Gabriel and he's out to slay some orcs and giant spiders. Gameplay footage reminded us of God of War. Kojima described Lords of Shadows as a new start for Castlevania and it isn't connected to any other Castlevania games. This will be the first game in the franchise Kojima has worked on. It's being developed by a studio called Mercurystream but Kojima Productions is lending a hand. Castlevania: Lords of Shadows is being prepped for a global audience in 2010 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. And the man behind the iron curtain is none other than Kojima himself. New grounds? New Story? I wonder now. Repost after fixing format

Tyler
LOL Patrick Stewart says the exact same lines as Oblivion! But still, Castlevania DMC-style! Been waiting for that for a long time!

KeezNah
Anyone play any of the Castlevanias on the N64? Or Lament of Innocence for PS2? LoI was flawed but still fun for what it was worth. So Kojima will be behind this now? I'm hearing this is going to be a series reboot.
KnackChap
i dont think kojima or kojima productions are directly involved with the game, the game is being developed by a spanish studio, mercury steam. kojima is most likely doing a keiji inafune and will be supervising multiple projects from now on. Hopefully they will pull a Metroid when it comes to migrating from 2d to 3d.
MarketTantrik
but the N64 game was very average. You are being too kind. It was a disgrace.
Aftrunner
Rose tinted specs I guess. Its hard to call anything I played on the N64 bad. Plus it was in 3d. Which was a big deal.

It was a disgrace. actually the reason i asked this was because i remember playing the game however long ago it was, and i dont remember a goddamn thing about it :/ subconscious block for the win
The JACKAL
i downloaded and unlocked castlevania full version from live arcade a few weeks ago, its was quite bad and a waste of 400 MS points.

The JACKAL
^^Are you talking about SotN? not ssure, but its a castlevania game. The one on LIVE arcade. U may call me stupid, but it wasnt me who unlocked the full version, my friend was playing thru the demo and in the main menu he saw the "unlock full version" option and without knowing he used up my stored MS points and got this game . I know it sounds ridiculous ,but im not lying
Aftrunner
I think SotN is the only Castlevania on XBLA AFAIK. Its also one of the best Castlevania games ever made. So if you didnt like it maybe the series isnt for you.
KeezNah
Saha, you damn well better play that game again before you denounce it as a "waste of 400 MS Points". Even Lucifer can't bring himself to loathe the holy might that is SoTN.
MarketTantrik
LOL. Sasha denouncing SotN is like Krazy Ken pronouncing the PS3 the victor of this generation of consoles.
