On a second thought i think it's prudent if Chelsea issues a statement and gives it a go ahead for AM to play Courtois. We should not be dependent on non availability of rival's keeper to advance. Badass striker or no striker, we are better than that.

Being stingy and devious here might sour our relationship with Courtois and AM for future.

I'm glad that we are facing Madrid in semi-final. We have 2 tries (leg) to beat them. ^_^

Regarding 2nd match: I'm all in for Atlético. They are playing some fantastic football and would love to see them in final (winning or not).

Europa league: St.Pirlo all the way.

UEFA statement on integrity of competitions
The integrity of sporting competition is a fundamental principle for UEFA and the competition and disciplinary regulations state clearly that clubs cannot influence others over the players they field.

In response to media reports referring to the situation of Club Atlético de Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, UEFA would like to reiterate its position.

The integrity of sporting competition is a fundamental principle for UEFA.

Both the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations contain clear provisions which strictly forbid any club to exert, or attempt to exert, any influence whatsoever over the players that another club may (or may not) field in a match.

It follows that any provision in a private contract between clubs which might function in such a way as to influence who a club fields in a match is null, void and unenforceable so far as UEFA is concerned.

Furthermore, any attempt to enforce such a provision would be a clear violation of both the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations and would therefore be sanctioned accordingly.

Edit: Also confirmed by Chelsea. Chelsea insist Thibaut Courtois can play for Atletico Madrid in semi-finals

Matches in leagues across England will kick off seven minutes late this weekend to mark the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.

On 15 April 1989, at the start of an FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest, a crush on the terraces of Sheffield Wednesday's Hillsborough stadium resulted in the death of 96 Liverpool fans and left hundreds more injured. That match ended at 15:06 BST.

Any particular reason for the different starting time for EPL matches today? For a match that generally starts at 7.30pm Indian time, today the matches are starting at 7.37pm - just wanted to know the reason. Anyone?

Its to offer respect in tribute to the victims of hillsborough disaster where 96 fans died.. mostly liverpool fans :( :(
