Turn on instant assassination settings in Gameplay options. When put blade inside a head, then target should die instantly. Guranteed assassination settings is the way to go. Yasuke combat does get boring but Naoe stealth gameplay was fun and kept me hook throughout. It gets really fun once u invest in certain skills and builds especially on hard difficulty.

I also finished it but i kind just focused on story and didn't do anything else. Good game but nothing amazing. DS2, however, big stepup in quality and definitely worth playing if you enjoyed DS1.

Hopefully you will not struggle like RV1709 on every boss
