Aftrunner Posted April 9, 2010 Report Share Posted April 9, 2010 Name: Silent Hill : Downpour Developer: Vatra Games Publisher: Konami Platforms: Xbox 360, PS3 Release date: Q3, 2011 Konami's working with a new developer on a new Silent Hill game for "next-gen consoles", aka PS3 and Xbox 360. The publisher revealed the news at an event in Frankfurt, Germany yesterday - dutifully attended by Eurogamer Germany. No other details were given. Silent Hill: Homecoming was Konami's last original take on the IP and was released in autumn 2008 to a lukewarm reception. Better received was Silent Hill: Shattered Memories on Wii, a re-imagining of the first Silent Hill game from 1999. Shattered Memories received a whopping 9/10 here on Eurogamer but sadly hasn't appealed to the Wii audience in quite the same way. Source. I bet they will call this one just Silent hill. Not Silent hill 6 or Silent hill: XYZ but just Silent Hill. That way they can pass it off as a reboot to try and lure some of the old fans back into the series. Thanks afty for posting this awesome news . waise bro abt your comment on silent hill going back to its root..all the silent hill games i have played they all try to stay to its root only ..i mean the chilling atmosphere,the creatures, the puzzles....
