No, it definitely pushes. The thing about Elden Ring vs most other open worlds - Most Open World games have tons of copy/paste stuff. Elden Ring also does, to an extent, but before you reach the remotely Copy/Paste areas - you will already have finished around 40-60 hours play-time (If you're not rushing). A lot of stuff is truly unique - which is one reason that makes the exploration truly worthwhile and rewarding. It's literally a game, where they pooled in all the crazy ideas that their minds could drum up, pooled in everything from their past games including Sekiro (Which is completely different from Souls) and threw it all in there as very viable content. Many Open Worlds will certainly have better graphics and fidelity, will definitely be superior on purely technical aspects (Ratio, pixels pushed, textures, RTX, Pure Graphics etc.), but from a pure uniqueness point, fun point, joy of exploration point or even the point of having a World - they don't even come close.

Right now, the best one I would say is PVR Icon Imax Screen (With Laser) in Phoenix Palladium Mall, Lower Parel. IMAX in Viviana Mall, Thane is also very decent. IMO the OG IMAX (Which used to be the dome) is bad currently (Though I've not been there is a long time, so I don't know if they've improved it.)

+100 Most of my Netflix viewing for the past 1-2 years have been only Korean Shows, Japanese Shows, Animes, EU Shows etc. Netflix does very well when it does Foreign non-english shows. Stuff like Money Heist, Narcos, Dark, Queen of the South etc. are brilliant. In addition to this, their catalogue of Korean Shows is mind-boggling. There are so many good shows, that it's difficult to know what to watch. Their anime list is expanding, and I would say it's a very nice catalogue. They generally have the newest animes, with a decent selection of the classics. They have the entire Ghibli Catalogue, which is literally 1000% amazing. Those movies are timeless classics. But when you come to American shows - Netflix is miserable. Stranger Things is good, and it's all they have going for them. Rest everything else is bad. Movies are horrible. I'm excluding 3rd party licences, where they were able to get some good shows like Better Call Saul or classics like Rush Hour etc. They have some decent animation like Castlevania (That's about all I can think of). Indian Shows are of course absolutely miserable, and Netflix failed completely there. Overall, Netflix is only worth it for foreign (Non- English) shows (Mainly Japanese and Korean), and their strength there is incredible. They should focus on those. Of course, a lot of Indians don't watch those shows, and it will remain a niche service in India if they do it.

I would be a bit careful about PS controllers on PC. I once linked my Dualshock 4 (PS4 Controller) to PC. After that, it would not link back to the PS4 at all. It would only work with PC, and every time I started the controller - it would look for a Bluetooth PC (and only a PC) to pair with. Even reconnecting to the console via USB Cable didn't work. Lesson learned. I won't risk using a Dual Sense on a PC, and never be able to use it on a PS5 again. I urge all of you guys to be careful as well.

Seeing this post just now. Both Trek to Yomi and Eiyuuden Chronicles Rising coming to GP Day 1 is amazing. I was excited for both. Haven't heard of Citizen Sleeper and not interested in Sniper Elite. Hope these come to PC GPU as well (Though I can boot my One X I guess, if it's Console only - been quite some time since I used it; don't think these will need the XSX).

In Int builds at least - vast times are very short for most spells. You can keep on casting till your mana runs out. Some spells also allow you to spam (cast continuouslywithout any animationat all), and they stagger enemies. Sone are melee/short range spam, like summoning giant swords that will hit enemies constantly and not allow them to come close to you. Sone are buffs, some are charged - which means they are Kameha-meha from DBZ, and will melt bosses, before the boss even knows what it's doing etc. Later on, you will also have summons. They will tank for you. They are very tanky, especially when upgraded. This is especially true if you are using the Mimic summon - which essentially summons a 2nd copy of you - with your stats and gear. You don't parry at all on a pure spell-caster build. You just dodge, gain distance, and nuke down bosses before they are able to come near you.

You need Arcane for Dragon Spells (Along with Faith). To even equip dragon spells - you need some Arcane. For example, Agheel's Breath (That you get from killing Fire Dragon Agheel) - to even equip this incantation - you need 15 Arcane and 23 Faith. These Dragon Incantations are not pure faith AFAIK. In addition, Arcane increases your Discovery stat - which improves items dropped (More Items Dropped, Rare items dropped more frequently). It also reduces Holy Damage you take, and increases resistance to instant death spells. Some weapons also require Arcane to equip. Frankly, IMO Faith + Arcane are not powerful build (Unless you are going to be doing major PvP from what I heard). In casting, Int is the powerful build for PvE/Normal Game.. Faith Incantations are very weak from what I've heard, with enemy mobs frequently able to interrupt you mid-cast.

@PhantomShade If you are going for Fire Spells (Or Dragon Spells) mainly - better get started on killing Fire Dragon Agheel. You will need to kill Dragons, get their hearts, and discover the Church of Dragon Communion - which is a chapel where you spend those hearts in a ritual that will teach you dragon spells. There are 2 churches - the demo one in Limgrave (Church of Dragon Communion), that will give you some spells, and the full version (Cathedral of Dragon Communion) in Caelid, which will teach you all Dragon Spells. Dragon Spells require both Faith and Arcane btw (Int not required), along with a seal to use. Only Faith allows for Spells like Heal, Benediction etc., which I don't think are "Fire" spells. Staff is used for Glintstone Sorceries (The Blue Spells - which give both ranged and melee spells) and Gravity Magic (Purple Spells). These scale with Int only, and don't need Faith or Arcane.

Respec of talents itself is gated behind the main boss of the 2nd main dungeon (After you finish Stormveil Castle, the dungeon is called Raya Lucaria Academy). You need an item called Larval Tears each time you want to respec. This item can be farmed. That said, Level 21 is quite low. You can easily put further stats into Intellect (Damage), Mind (Mana/FP Pool) and Vigor (Health) (all stats in that order), if you want to go caster. You can buy your first staff from the Merchant in the Church, but I would recomment another staff - very near the starting area you can trigger a trap that will take you to a higher level zone. From there, you can flee and loot a staff nearby. It's called the Meteorite Staff, and has an S Scaling in Magic. It's a very powerful staff that will take you to end game. Other gear does not matter for now. Near the chest of the Meteorite Staff, you'll find the Rock Sling Spell, which is one of the best spells in-game. You can also do a mini-dungeon near the starting area to unlock your first Sorcery Teacher, who will teach you all the basic spells, including the the ones that Astrologer start with. Main is Glintstone Pebble, which is the most Mana efficient spell in game. You can look at YT for the exact location of both. Starting Class does not matter in this game. It just determines what you start with. Your path after that will be your own.

Radagon can be cheesed with any build I think. Which means you should be able to go with your full kit (Health + Mana + Potions) to Elden Beast. Were you able to do Dragonlord Placidusax? Elden Beast is kind of similar.

After a certain point (Mainly after you unlock Atlus Plateau), you should really just stop going to every nook and cranny dungeon. The game is vast. It's almost impossible to 100% it without getting burnt out. If your going for Platinum/All Achievements, just do those optional content that require it and move on. Also, if you take my advise - give the game a rest for some days. I've observed that most (Including me) get burnt out if they are playing only 1 game continuously. Try to do something else and come back to it. You might get excited for the game again. It helped for me. It might help for you.

It is their biggest cash cow currently. I expect they are dragging on as much as possible, and for as long as possible. The "Final Season" name itself is a trick to keep you hooked for years. Anyway, for a lot of people, the ending is a huge disappointment. AFAIK, there is even a petition to make a different ending for the show.

This is the problem where "Japanese Honor" comes in. Konami's prestident essentially booted off Kojima after almost holding him a prisoner. He's not going to like MGS going back to Kojima (Which will happen if Sony takes it - they have excellent relationship with him). At the same time, if Konami makes some deal with Sony where MGS is not given to Kojima - Kojima himself will not like it. It's his honor and life's work on the line. He will see it as a "betrayal" and will most probably not work with Sony again. Which Sony will also not like. Do you remember Hironobu Sakaguchi of Mistwalker? The guy who created the original Final Fantasy games up to FF9. How he worked only on X360 and Wii games during the PS3/360 era (Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey etc. were created for 360). He failed on 360, and had to go mobile only, but never worked with Sony again. Same with Itagaki - who created the original Ninja Gaiden Games (NG1, NG2 etc.) and Dead or Alive Games. He hated Sony and never worked with them. The Sigma games were created by another employee, and he had to be booted out of Team Ninja for them to make Sony games. "Japanese Honor" concept is funny that way. You do what they see as betrayal, they will never worj with you again. So I doubt Sony will ever do anything against that.

I did. It was OK. A good adventure movie. Complete time-pass. But it's not going into "Legendary Movies" or "Absolute Must Watch" Lists any time soon

60 fps. Very highly needed. In fact tons of people are holding out on BB (Those who have not already played it) simply for 60 fps. Also, assets can be improved by a lot. There is a marked difference between graphics of BB and DeS Remake or even Elden Ring. The atmosphere of BB is out of this world. If they Remake it to DeS standards, it's going to blow minds off. Hemwick, School/Nightmare of Mensis, Cainhurst etc. on DeS Remake style graphics - nothing is even going to come close. BB actually sorely needs a remake. Bluepoint will do what Sony tells them to. If Sony tells them to Remake BB, they will. Bluepoint has not yet made a super-hit game of their own that they can dictate terms to Sony (Unlike say ND, Insomniac, Sucker Punch etc.) Also, I would forget MGS if I were you. Kojima is not there. But MGS is still a major money earner for Konami in Pachinko business. Also, Konami will never give MGS to any place that can potentially pass it off to Kojima. Nor will Kojima take it or like Sony making exclusive deals with Konami regarding MGS. Japanese "Honor" and all. It's a different culture than in the West.

I expect it will be quite some time before this releases. Whatever happens, FF16 will come first. They won't have Mainline FF and Mainline KH competing with each other. Anyway, this proves the Nvidia leak list even more true. That means the next major game from SE should most probably be FF9 Remake.

Believe it or not, this boss gave me more trouble than even the much hyped "Malenia, Blade of Miquella". I thought Alecto would be easy on your melee build, because the boss is a melee one. I had to literally dig out a new spell, that I never used just to fight this boss (Adula's Moonblade). Hardest one in the game for me.

In this case - yes it is. Gameplay wise there is nothing to justify "Not Save Scumming". Just ensure you do it properly and not corrupt your save file .

PlayStation vs Xbox vs Nintendo thread
roun90 replied to kmkaks's topic in News, Rumours and Discussions
Just some points - 1) PS3 actually had the very best emulation out of the lot. They actually had an in-built PS2 in there. No compatibility issues or any problems. They even tried emulating. All failed. Ironically, X360 had no BC and no upgrade options, and people did not mind. No "Upgrade Path" BS. 2) Studio Closures - It was the transition to the HD era, which was a major upgrade. Not every studio could make it. It was far more expensive and a major upgrade to go from SD -> HD than from HD -> 4k. 3) Japanese Devs made major stupid decisions, which led to their closure. PS and Nintendo had an in-built audience for JRPGs. Most JPN Studios ignored them to go to X360, where there was no audience. It was also the very stupid time where almost all Japanese Studios abandoned their core and tried to make "Western Games", which was never their forte (Lost Planet and all such sh*t) in order to "Capture the Global Market". They failed miserably. Most importantly, Japan itself did not care for HD or Home Consoles, and was transitioning majorly to Hand-helds and Mobiles. Also @AnK Remastered version from PS3 -> PS4 was excusable because the architecture itself was different. It was like developing a new game. Most people who played on PS4, also did not play on PS3 and vice-versa. "Upgrade Path" costing 1000 Rs., just for setting higher resolution from the "Settings" Button (Which is hidden from customers) as is happening from PS4 -> PS5 is not. Especially when everyone else, including 3rd parties, has the decency to give it at no charge. When Horizon 2 etc. come on PC (as they inevitably shall) - you will find you can play both PS4 version and PS5 version (and even more), simply because the "Settings" Tab is not hidden from you. -
Save scum everywhere, including Xbox (You can do it on Xbox, just look at reddit, they have detailed step-by-step how to do it). AFAIK @Heaven Angel got 2 endings by save-scumming and only did 1 ending on a subsequent play-through (which can be done in literally some 3-4 hours if you rush). Frankly, it makes no difference. This is not like other Souls games. In one play-through, you actually unlock all endings legitimately. This is like Mass Effect 3. Finish all the steps of all endings, and finish off every single boss. At the very end - 1) Choose Option A for Ending #1 2) Choose Option B for Ending #2 3) Fast Travel to Another Place and Choose Option C for ending #3 (No combat and nothing else, literally just fast-travel) And only 3 endings matter. Rest are all not even endings, but sub-endings. Do you remember Mass Effect 3? Choose Red, Green or Blue? It's the exact same deal here. There is no challenge left at all. No boss, no game-play, nothing. NG+ is also no challenge in this game, because at stat-caps, you are so OP, it's yawn-worthy. And you can reach stat caps very easily in your very 1st play-through. There is no "legitimate" play-through at all. Only the very first play-through is "legitimate". All Platinum Trophies are legitimate here, FROM just added 3 ending trophies for the heck of it. Ideally there should be only 1 trophy for reaching 1 ending. Others were not required and are a waste of IRL time.

This was my kill of the Dragon Lord The laser beams were easily avoided. The teleportation rush attack gave me some problems, but I found out - 1) You could see his shadow before he comes 2) if you keep rolling, you generate some i-frames, which saves some health almost always - unlike if you were not rolling (only running) in which case it is a 1-shot Also congratz on the Platinum. Looks like the ER Platinum/All Achievement Club on IVG has - 1 from Xbox, 1 from PC and 3 from PS4/PS5
-
Which dragon are you talking about? There are 2 Dragons that give trophies (Lich Dragon Fortissax and Dragon Lord Placiduax - however those 2 are spelled), and there are others that are possibly story related but not giving any trophies. Anyway I was at Vigor Soft Cap (Vigor 60), so despite having Mage armor (Light Armor) - nothing was 1-shotting me.

Finally Done!! Age of Stars Slight Spoilers My very first From Software Platinum Trophy!! Have to say though - this is actually one of the easiest FromSoft Titles, along with Demon's Souls (If you are a mage). BB and Sekiro were far harder.

You also get stuff that is not officially released here, as I said. Your other option would have been importing from Amazon.com/Playasia etc., waiting for 1 month, and then possibly paying 30% Customs on top of it. As far as "Privilege" of buying at MRP - you do get to quit the lottery rat race of Amazon.in/FK/RD. You don't have to "Keep Clicking, hoping your order has gone through and hoping you were not charged twice by accident". Your machine is secure - you will not get any calls from Customer Care asking you to "Please Cancel Your Order". Best part - the retailers can also liaison with Sony/MS in case your machine needs repairing.
